Friday Polkadoodles goodness!

Hello lovelies, I hope you are managing to keep well.  We are all in good health and spirits here.  After a rather manic week it's nice to actually get to Friday and take a breath.  For the next week I have managed to arrange it so it is only necessary for me to leave the house twice which is a huge improvement on this week in these crazy times.

So on to happier things.  It's Friday so there is a new Polkadoodles challenge to join in with folks and it's so easy to play.  The theme is always 'anything goes' so a no brainer there and who wouldn't want the chance to win fabby prizes!!  The DT this week were challenged to add a number/age to your card and to include a matching tag.  Well this is what I came up with, but in hindsight not sure I like the green balloon with numbers now.  At a quick glance it sort of looks like an alien head with huge eyes, but hey can't always be happy with the outcome I suppose.

Medium:  copics
Papers:  Stampin Unicorn 'Butterfly Dreams'

I used my copics to colour in Winnie.  Isn't she sweet I love her little dress.  I've got a closer piccie of her next.

See what I mean about the blinking balloon and numbers really wished I had used different stickers on it but there you go it's done now lol.  Shame as I so love the rest of the card and my favourite bit is the matching tag really happy with how that turned out.

Anyway, that's all from my little patch.  I'm so hoping to use the next few days to catch up with crafting I hate running behind and continually having to play catch up.  Hubby's going to be painting the decking tomorrow so I'm hoping he's going to keep my daughter busy helping him so I can just hole myself up in my craft room.

Don't forget to hop across to the Polkadoodles challenge blog we'd love you to come join in with us we're a really friendly bunch!

Take care folks, happy crafting and stay safe.

A little Polkadoodles 'Good Luck'

Good morning lovelies I hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend I know am.  Can't come soon enough for me this week I need some down time lol!

So as it's Friday there is a new challenge up over on the Polkadoodles Challenge blog and I have my DT card to share with you.  Now the DT were given a guide to work to of lucky charm/good luck and to use green as the main colour, but the main Polkadoodles Challenge theme is as always 'anything goes' so you can enter absolutely anything you've created and you don't even have to use a Polkadoodles image how fab is that!

Well with exam time for the kiddies getting ever closer I thought it would be a great idea to make a 'good luck with your exams' card.  I chose to colour up Winnie Graduation and went with quite a simple look.  I'm loving this style of card lately.  With a little bit of twine, a fab sentiment and a few pearls and my card was complete.

Medium:  copics

The usual close up of the sweet image.

"What to Wear" in grey and pink

Hello folks, jeez it's been a few days to say the least since I last popped in.  We've had no internet and landline for what seems like forever.  At first there was a fault apparently at the box in the street which took days to get looked at and then they said no it was up the pole in our road which took more time to get looked at and then apparently the engineer was up a ladder at the side of our house as he thought it was a fault there.  On the upside at least we had no stupid sales calls/scams to listen to on the landline but boy I didn't realise how reliant I had become on the 'net'.  It was like someone had cut of one of my limbs and is Insta-withdrawal a 'thing' if so I had it big time lol!!

So now that we're back online I have a little All Dressed Up loveliness to share with you.  I have inked up 'What to Wear' and teamed her with the gorgeous LemonCraft Zulana papers again.

She's been coloured with copics in shades to compliment the pretty papers.  I kept the card fairly simple as there was enough happening with the papers I think.

A little closer look at the image.  Isn't she elegant and I love how easy these images are to colour too.

So a bit of a flying visit from me this evening.  I've still got things to prepare for work tomorrow and it's not getting any earlier.  I've popped the links to the Crafteezee goodies I've used that are in still available in the store at the end of my post.

Take care and happy crafting.

Girlfriends

Hello lovely peeps I hope you are all well.  All is good in our little household.  Kiddies are on half term break so my house looks like a bomb's hit it and I've given up tidying until they go back lol.

Anyway a little fly by visit from me today just to share with you a little love of the All Dressed Up variety by Crafteezee.  I've had a play with 'Girlfriends' and I've had this idea in my head now for a few weeks where they were all in sort of picture frames.  This is how it turned out.

This is a slimmer card that I would normally make but I think it suited the design.  I used a strip of the gorgeous ScrapBoys 'Dream Garden' papers and took my colour inspiration from this for the beautiful girlies and coloured them with my copics.  I matted everything onto black card.  This is one of my favourite things to do in cardmaking as it just makes all the colours pop.

A little black ribbon and a rose as a finishing touch and my card was done.  A very simple one but I actually love it.

All of the Crafteezee goodies I've used to make my little old card can be found over in the store and I've popped the links at the end of my post.

Okay, so that's it from me again folks.  I'm off to put some smarter togs on as we're off out for dinner as a little half term treat for everyone.

Have a lovely rest of the week.

Take care

Sorry I'm late!

Happy weekend crafty peeps.  It's a nasty one here unfortunately the wind isn't too bad at the minute but it's very soggy and it's only going to get worse this weekend apparently, Yay what joys lol!!!  So I have to venture out to work shortly so I thought I would pop on here and share with you my Polkadoodles Challenge DT card for this week's new challenge.

The design team were tasked with making a 'sorry I'm late' make but for all of you lovely folk it's an 'Anything Goes theme' as normal so no reason not to enter.  Well Winnie in Wonderland is what popped into my head when I heard this so my card has been made using goodies from the big kahuna download kit (links under piccie).

Medium:  copics
Papers:  printed from 'Winnie in Wonderland' onto Ultimate Graphic Paper
Ribbon and pearls from stash

A closer look at my card.  Love this kit so much and can see myself using it so many times.  Santa was extremely kind to me this year and I found a Cricut Explore Air 2 under the tree so I fired that up and cut out the clock face and cogs in black card.  Loving the possibilities with this machine.

A closer looksie at the cutie pie image.  This is 'Time is running out' and she's been coloured up with copics to compliment the papers.

Copics used

E000, E11, E13, R20
RV91, RV95, RV99
RV63, RV66, RV69

Okay that's all from me today folks.  We have an evening of films tonight, first up is my son's choice of Joker.  Not sure it's my cup of tea but we'll see lol.

Take care and happy crafting.

'Love to Dance'

Happy Monday crafty peeps, I hope you are all well.  Here in the UK we've had storm Ciara to contend with and boy she is a stinker.  I'm well aware of how lucky we have been here compared to other areas so please keep safe folks.

So onto something more happy.  I'm just popping in to share with you my latest Crafteezee DT make.  I inked up the sweet All Dressed Up 'Love to Dance' and coloured her up to compliment the most delicious Lemoncraft Zulana 'Shabby Chic Grey' papers.  Oh my these are so beautiful and I love the soft pink and grey colour scheme right up my street lol!

Anyway, I've used lots of goodies on my card today as I was feeling in a kind of fussy mood when I made this one.

A little close up of the adorable image.  I used the 'no lines' technique to stamp her with by using a light grey Memento ink so when coloured you can't really see them.  I love this effect it just sort of brings a softness to the image.  You can also see that gorgeous organza ribbon here too and trust me it's so pretty.

A few flowers and bits of lace too and my card just came together.  Love it when that happens lol.  The fab border around the layer under the image was made using a Lady E Design border die and what I love about this one is if you look closely you will notice I've used both the positive and negative die cuts so there is literally no wastage, how cool is that!

Right folks, that's all from me today.  All of the Crafteezee goodies I've used on my card can be found over in the store and I've popped all of the links at the end of my post for you.

Have a lovely week and happy crafting.

Take care,

Polkadoodles Odella Heart

Good morning lovely crafty peeps.  Jeez what an end to my week last week everything that could go pear shaped went pear shaped lol.  Add to that my daughter choosing her GSCE options for the next two years and my son sitting A Level mocks, what a flippin week lol!  I'm sincerely hoping this next one is a little easier on us.  So here I am today popping in quickly to share some Polkadoodles love with you.  This is my DT make, albeit a few days late oops!!

So this week the DT were challenged to make something which included a secret surprise.  Well it took me ages to decide on what I wanted to create but eventually settled on an easel card and if you lift up the base it includes a secret little treat box which you can fill with a sweet surprise for someone.

I went with a heart theme seeing as Valentine's isn't far off and coloured up the adorable Odella Heart with copics to compliment the pretty Polkadoodles papers.  I actually used a Polkadoodles heart shaped template to get my shaped card.  There's a few more piccies for this one as it was difficult to try and get a view of everything so I apologise now for the photo heavy post.

Medium:  copics
Heart Template from Polkadoodles Work & Play 9 'Love & Kisses' download kit

A piccie up next of the easel card stood up.

A little side view and if you look carefully you can just make out the box underneath.

If you lift the card base up you reveal the hidden treat box filled with yummy Elizabeth Shaw mints in my case lol.

Last piccie up next I promise!  Here's a closer look at the sweet Odella Heart, just fab isn't she.

Copics used

Skin:  E000, E11, E13
Clothes:  RV21, RV23, RV25, RV29/BG72, BG75, BG78/Y21, Y26
Hair/Boots:  E43, E44, E47, E49

Okay so that is all from me today.  I'm off to try and catch up with a few things and finish some work for tomorrow, so I'll catch up with you soon folks.

Take care and happy crafting.
