A little Craft Consortium goodness!

Happy Thursday lovely crafty friends.

It's been a while since I've been on my little old blog but I'm back and I'm really excited to be here today to share my very first post as a new member of the Craft Consortium design team.

Anyway, let me share with you what I've created with goodies from their recently released 'Leather Bound' collection.  This collection is gorgeous and so versatile there's stamps and beautiful papers - I have lots of ideas running around in this little old head of mine lol!

So let me share my card I have made.  I had such fun making this.

Raffia and button from stash

I chose a couple of papers from the paper pad.  Then inked up both of the texture background stamps and heat embossed them with some metallic embossing powder on to the papers just to add that extra layer of interest. Sliced up the papers into strips and stuck them alternatively on to my card base.

I then inked up the coffee cup stain and heat embossed it onto a sheet from the paper pad.  I roughly tore around the shape of the stain and dirtied the edges with some distress stain.  I also decided to added a few of the sentiment stamps from the collection, added a little raffia and few gold pearls and my card was done.

A little side view of my card in which you can hopefully see better the texture from the background stamps.

So that's all from me today.  Thank you so much for stopping by my little patch it really is very much appreciated.  Don't forget to check out the Craft Consortium's Official Network Facebook page.  There is so much inspiration over there and the rest of my team mates have been crafting up a storm with the new collection.

Happy crafting peeps and I'll be back soon with some more inspiration.

Take care,
Ann-Marie

Still out of my comfort zone ....

..........but coping! Well I've stopped hyperventilating at least!!!  Anyway, happy Sunday to you folks I hope your day is as beautiful where you are as it is here.  We have glorious sunshine but with a chill in the air and I just love it.  Just the weather for a stroll and then home for a hot chocolate and marshmallows mmmm.

Well I've popped in to show you my latest.  There is something to be said for clean and simple I can knock out at least four cards to my normal one.  I've found this style doesn't come easy to me but its a challenge and I'm enjoying that.  Here's my card:-

The stamp I used is from a Papermania set I bought last year.  I stamped with black ink and then used black sparkle embossing powder which is gorgeous when heated up.  White card matted with black and red mirri, a few gems, some shiny red cord and its done!  Very simple I know but I like it.

Its quite quiet here at the moment, hubby is working, my son is out playing football, my little girl is practising her first aid for Beavers tomorrow night so I'm going to grab half an hours crafting before the madness that is teatime begins!

Take care folks and happy crafting.

Something different for me!!!

Hello folks, hope you've had a great weekend.

I want to know what's going on with the weather - I'm sure summer is meant to follow spring but I think its gone on a jolly myself so we didn't get up to much. Was meant to go and get the kiddies school shoes but there was no way I was getting drenched and being made bankrupt all in the same day!!!! I mean what is it with the price of school shoes I know I insist on going to Clarks I do think they actually last longer but even so. Anyway thats my moan over as long as my little monsters tootsies are well taken care of thats okay.
So on to my card. Its something a little different for me - firstly shock horror its not an easel card, secondly its relatively clean and simple and thirdly I didn't colour in the stamped image I decided to heat emboss it instead and I'm fairly pleased with the outcome although my fingers are still itching to add further embellies!!!!
Right a quick list of stuff used:- Papermania 'Joyeux Noel' stamp set which is new but old as its unused from last year, stamped and heat embossed with Enchanted Gold embossing powder. Papers used are the Papermania 'Joyeux Noel' ones that match the stamp set again from last year's stash. My Martha Stewart punch got an outing and ribbon and charm is from stash.

I'm going to enter this into a few challenges hopefully:-

Mojo Monday - fab sketch just loved it

Cute Card Thursday - Treemendous (anything with trees on it)

Papertake Weekly - Something old, something new,
something borrowed & something blue
Well really do hope you have a great start to the week peeps, will catch you later sometime in blogland.
Take care
Ann-Marie
