It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, yay!!!!

Happy Friday folks and I hope you are all well on this most soggy of days here in Bournemouth.

Well as it's Friday there is a new challenge up now on the Polkadoodles Crafting Challenge blog and I am popping in to share my DT make with you all.  The DT this week were given the theme of 'It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas' to work with but as always for all you crafty peeps it's an 'anything goes' theme to enter the challenge and we'd love to have you join us so we can visit all your lovely makes.

So what did I make, well I decided I wanted to do something to do with Advent so I've seen these Advent cards about and thought I rather liked the idea so had a little go. Well they are super easy and so cute.  I used a template which Norma kindly shared on her blog here which made it even easier!  I coloured up the beautiful Winnie stamp 'Lighting the Way Lantern' with a mix of copics and spectrum noirs.  All papers were printed from Winnie Winterland download kit and the actual Advent numbers I cut up from one of the papers too.

I've kept this one for myself and she's sitting proudly on my mantlepiece to mark each day of Advent.

So the Christmas decorating has begun and the house is in turmoil as I literally have boxes and boxes of the things and five trees to put up.  Yep, you did read right I said five, don't do things by halves here at Crimbly!!!!!

I'll pop back later and link up some challenges as work is calling and it's going to be a ploppy day unfortunately.

Take care and happy crafting.

'Fairy Gifts'

Good morning my crafting friends and a very happy Friday to you.

Well as normal for a Friday there is a new challenge up on the Polkadoodles Crafting Challenge blog and I am popping in to share my DT make with you all.  The DT this week were given the theme of 'Gifts' to work with but as always it's an 'anything goes' theme to enter the challenge.

I made a gift bag with the adorable Polkadoodles image 'Fairy Gifts' and coloured her up with copics to match the fabby Polkadoodles papers I printed off.  This little bag will no doubt be commandeered by my daughter for her best mates Christmas present!

Medium:  copics

The usual close up of the cute fairy.  The light has been terrible here lately for taking piccies so it's not a brilliant one so not sure you can make it out but I've added some sparkle to her wings.

Copics List

Face/Body:  E000, E00, E11, E13
Hair:  E50, E53, E57
Reds:  R22, R27, R29, R59

Blues:  BG01, BG05, BG07, BG09

Okay that's all from me today peeps.  I've got a hectic day this Friday so I will pop back in and link up to some challenges later on.  Hoping to get my Christmas decs down and make a start on decorating the house this weekend, but we'll see someone always manages to put a spanner in the works if I plan on doing something lol!!

Happy crafting.  Take care.

New Polkadoodles Challenge - Week 45

Good morning all you lovely crafty peeps, I hope you are well.  All okay in my little patch.  We've got both my son's and daughter's birthdays in October out of the way (didn't time that very well did I lol!!) and now we're gearing up to Christmas here.  We start getting festive quite early in our house well I do have 5 trees to get up and lots of other decorations to put out too and I think it makes the house so warm and inviting especially when it's cold and soggy outside.

Anyway, as it's Friday that can only mean it's a brand new challenge over at Polkadoodles Challenge.  Now as always it's an 'anything goes' theme so it's so easy to enter, but the DT this week have a theme to follow of 'create a scene'.  Well there are so many goodies to play with in the kits that I just couldn't decide what to make lol.  In the end I settled on making a Christmas themed book card.

I used a pre-coloured image for the front of the book.  Printed it out and used the largest die from the Polkadoodles 'elegant nest' set of dies to cut it out.  I just love this set of dies they cut beautifully.  I don't think there is going to be any point in putting them away they may as well just live on my craft desk they're going to get used that much!!  The flower and foliage has been printed too and cut out and layered up.

Inside the book card is a little snowmen scene made using a digi printed off from the Winnie Winterland kit and coloured up with copics.  Again the trees have been re-sized in word and just printed and cut out.  I added a little liquid pearls for snow.
Medium:  copics

Sorry there should have been a warning at the start of my post to say it was rather picture heavy.  If you are still with me thank you and I hope you liked my little creation.

Well I have a busy weekend ahead of me working tomorrow and then seeing family.  I will be squeezing in some crafty time somewhere and knowing me it will be the early hours of the morning but at least that way I will have no interruptions!!

Have a lovely weekend folks.

Take care.

26 October 2018

It's all about the paper!!

Good morning my lovelies and what a glorious autumn one it is!  It's beautiful out there just as autumn should be.

So as it's Friday that can only mean it's a brand new challenge over at Polkadoodles Challenge.  Now as always it's an 'anything goes' theme so it's real easy to enter, but the DT this week have a theme to follow of 'focus on papers'.  Well I've been meaning to have a go at a ribbon tree for quite a while and this seemed like the perfect opportunity so I decided that rather than use material ribbon I'd print off and cut up strips of paper ribbon and make it out of that instead.  I love how it turned out and it was such an easy project too.

Ribbon from stash
Poinsettia made using Spellbinders Poinsettia die set and covered in Twinklets

Thought I'd show you a close up of the gorgeous paper and I love the fact that as it's digital it satisfies my paper addition I don't have to panic when I use up my last sheet lol I can just print off another!!

So there we go a real easy Christmas project and not a copic or stamp in sight.  Why not pop across to the blog here and enter for a chance to win some goodies. You know it's not just the winner that gets a prize the top 3 do too how fab is that and whilst you are there you can feast your eyes on some gorgeous inspiration from my teamies they really do knock it out the park every week.

Okay so time for me to pootle off.  It's my daughter's birthday today and I promised we go do the girlie peely face mask thing but I'm having second thoughts now as she's picked the yucky black dead sea one and it looks disgusting … wish me luck!!

Have a great weekend folks whatever you are up to.

Take care.

12 October 2018

Brrrr ... it's cold outside!

Happy Friday folks and thank you so much for popping over to my little piece of blogland.

Well with it being Friday that means there is of course a new challenge gone live this morning over at Polkadoodles Challenge and I am here to share with you my dt make.  The challenge is as always an 'anything goes' theme so you can enter anything you like to be in with a chance of winning some fabby goodies.  The design team however were given the theme of 'wrap up warm'.

I have made a very simple card really for this theme.  I knew instantly that I wanted to work with Octavia Frosty Penguins she just seemed so perfect especially with those cute little penguins and she's very versatile as she's great for not only Christmas but winter as well.  I used a piece of acetate for the front of the card as I wanted to use my snow flurry die so that it looked like it was snowing.  I'm not brilliant at photographing white cards but I hope you can make out all the details.

Medium:  Copics and Promarkers

So the usual close up of the image.  I've coloured her with a mix of copics and promarkers and for the fur hat and trim I used a couple of the lighter grey copics and then used a blender pen and dotted it over the top.  I actually rather like the effect it gives.

Pen list

Skin:  copics E000, E11, E13, R20
Clothes:  R22, R27, R29, R59/Promarkers Ice Grey 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5
Hair/Penguins:  copics C1, C2, C3, C7 & black

I think this has got to be one of my favourite cards so far I have made for this Christmas.  Not sure I want to give it away lol!

Okay that's all from me today peeps.  Don't forget go check out the Polkadoodles Challenge here and you can take a peek at my teamies fabulous makes too lots of gorgeous inspiration to be had.

Have a great weekend and enjoy as much crafting as you can I know I will!

Take care,

When witches go riding .......

…. and black cats are seen,
the moon laughs and whispers
'Tis near Halloween ….

Hello crafty peeps, who love's Halloween? I know I do.  I'm not sure who has more fun trick or treating the kiddies or me lol and I love answering the door to all the little ones and to see them in their little costumes.  We always finish off the night with my favourite Halloween movie 'Hocus Pocus' every year without fail it's like a little tradition.  Of course it's only fair that I get to share a little of the candy whilst we're watching too.

So with Halloween fast approaching I've made myself a little hat shaped card and what better image to use with it than Polkadoodles cute little Winnie Wednesday Witch & Cat digi and I coloured her up to compliment the spookalicious Polkadoodles 'Halloween Trick or Treat' papers.  My card was real easy to do I just printed off a hat shape from the internet re-sized it in Word to what I needed and printed off a template.

Medium:  mix of Spectrum Noirs, Copics and Promarkers
Ribbon and flowers from stash

And, of course, a close up of Winnie.

List of pens used to colour my image

Face:  copics E000, E11, E13, R20
Cloak/Hat:  Spectrum Noirs LG1, LG3, LG5, JG1, JG2
Purples:  BV02, BV04, BV08
Oranges:  Promarkers Honeycomb, Spice, Burnt Orange

So I'm rather in love with this little card so I shall be displaying her on my mantle come the 31st.

Okay so time for me to go cook tea as it won't cook itself, then I'm going to settle down at my craft desk I think with a hot chocolate, a movie playing on my laptop and do some colouring.  A perfect evening in my books.

Take care folks and happy crafting.

Polkadoodles Anything Goes (week 39)

Good morning my lovelies I hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend.  We've had some beautiful autumn weather here in Bournemouth it really is the most beautiful time of year I just love it.

Anyway, it's Friday (woohoo!!) which means another new challenge is live over at Polkadoodles.  This week the DT were given the theme of 'matching set' but as always the challenge itself is 'anything goes' so really no reason for you not to throw your creation into the ring for the chance to win some Polkadoodles goodness.

So for my 'matching set' I decided to make a criss cross card as I haven't made one for a little while with a co-ordinating presentation box.  I decided to use some non traditional colours for a change.  I printed off the adorable 'Leaving Mince Pies' image and coloured her up to compliment the beautiful digital papers from the Winnie White Christmas download kit.  As the theme was matching set I also changed the sizing of the image to print on the inside card and the label on the box too.  I love how you can re-size your digi images to suit what you're creating.

Medium:  copics

My blog post would not be complete without showing you a close up of the adorable image.  As usual she's been coloured up with my copics and I really do love the colour scheme I can see myself using this one again.  My card would not be finished without a good dose of sparkle and it's lovely and twinkly in the light.

Copics list

Face/Body:  E000, E11, E13, R20, R81
Hair:  E31, E35, E37, E29
Clothes:  V000, V91, V95, V99/C1, C2

Okay folks that's one more Christmas card in my collection, although I still have quite a few more to go.  How are you getting on with your Christmas makes, have you made a start yet I wonder or is it just me?!?

Well time for me to get my skates on my work won't get done on it's own.  Hope you all have a great weekend folks.

Take care,
Ann-Marie

Polkadoodles Challenge Week 37

Well hello my lovelies I hope you are all well and your week has been a good one.  My week has been spent getting back into the school routine with the kiddiewinkles and the madness that is school mornings lol.

So, I have been getting back into the crafting routine too now that my wrist is feeling easier and have my DT make to share with you for the new Polkadoodles Challenge which has gone live today.  The design team have all created to the theme of 'frame it' but the actual challenge itself is as always an 'Anything Goes' one so you see it's real easy to enter for the chance to win some fabby prizes.

For my card I decided to print off one of the fabulous sentiments in the 'Winnie Winterland' digi kit.  These are so so versatile and amazing quality.  I also printed off some papers from the same kit and decided to print one design on one side and the other on the reverse so that when I opened up my frame to reveal the sentiment behind my paper was double-sided.

Sentiment:  Winnie Winterland
Cord, flowers and pearls from stash

A closer look at the sentiment which is my main focus of my card.  This card came together so easy and don't you just love it when that happens.

Before I go I would like to enter my card into a couple of challenges:-

Creative Inspirations  -  anything goes

Winter Wonderland  -  use ribbon or twine

Crafteezee  -  anything goes

Crafty Creations  -  anything goes

The Holly and the Ivy Christmas challenge  -  anything Christmas goes

Okay folks that's all from me for today.  I'm off to do a little colouring I think but first I'm going to have to tidy up all the mess as I think there is a desk somewhere under it all lol.

Take care and happy crafting.
