Showered with Love

Happy Monday lovely crafty peeps.  I seem to be getting behind with my blogging of late I have a few crafty makes to share with you so today I shall be sharing a little LOTV loveliness.

I grabbed a couple of the newly released Lili of the Valley images the other day and I couldn't resist colouring up this one first.  This is 'Showered with Love' and I've used my Prismacolor pencils for a change.  Not really sure I'm happy with my colouring on this one so lots more practice is needed with the pencils I think.

Anyway, I thought the image would make a perfect valentine's card and I've had these gorgeous papers in my stash for like forever and they just went so well together.  A little ribbon and few pearls and it all came together so easy.

A little close up of the adorable image.  What is it about umbrellas I always love an image with a brolly in it lol, but aren't they just the cutest pair though!

Okay a really quick fly by from me today peeps.  I haven't even got a note for you of the pencils I used.  I did have them written down on a scrap of paper but if you could see my craft room right now you would understand why I can't find it lol!  A job for another day though that one.

So take care folks.  As I said I've got a few more cards to share so I shall be popping in again soon.

Happy crafting.

Cupcake anyone??

Happy Sunday lovely crafty peeps.  I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.  Where's all the lovely spring weather gone?!?  I hope this horrible dreary weather doesn't hang around for long it's so depressing.

So, on a miserable day like today I'm brightening mine with a little crafting and popping on here to share with you my latest card.  I treated myself to a few paper pads a while ago and thought it was about time I used some.  No good them just sat on my shelf.  I know they're pretty and stroke'able and all but hey I need to make room for more lol!!

Here's my little card made with them.  I've used LOTV 'never too old for cupcake' and coloured her up with copics to compliment the pretty papers.  I had a go at making some of my own flowers too with foamiran and I'm actually quite pleased with my first attempt and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was too.  They're not perfect by a long shot but hey practice makes perfect and all that.

Image:  LOTV 'never too old for cupcake'
Medium:  copics
Papers:  Craft Sensations 'soft romance' 12 x 12 pad
Dies:  Joy Crafts butterfly border (6002/0251), Whimsy Stamps Butterfly frame die, Whimsy Stamps Peony Flower dies, Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 2
Ribbon, twine, gems from stash

A little close up of my coloured image, she's so sweet.

copics used

Face/Body:  E000, E11, E13
Hair:  E53, E55, E57
Clothes/cupcake case:  V000, V12, V15, V17/R000, RV52, RV55

Here's my attempt at the foamiran flowers.  I've a lot to learn but they're a start.

I used white foamiran and the Whimsy Stamps peony die set and coloured them with some old oil pastels I've had for years.

Okay so that's all from me today.  I've just got enough time to get some colouring in before I need to feed the troops.  Do you think if I'm quiet in my little craft room they may forget about tea …. no me neither but worth a try don't you think?!?

Thank you for stopping by my little patch and listening to all my ramblings.  I ramble on in real life too you know!!

Take care and have a lovely crafty weekend.

Squirrels Ho Ho Ho

Good morning my lovelies I hope you are all well.  I'm so pleased it's finally the weekend it's been a long week so I fully intend to make the most of the time even though I've finally succumbed to this blinking cold bug doing the rounds, damn, but hey I shall work it to my advantage ... can't do any chores best thing is to hide out in my craft room all day ... see always a silver lining lol!

I've decided not to tidy away all my Christmas crafting but instead make Christmas cards through the year as and when the mood takes me.  So, I've made my first Christmas card of 2018 with the cutest little LOTV squirrels.  Now I very rarely colour up animals but LOTV animal images are just the cutest ever and I just couldn't resist them.  I coloured them up with my copics and used some gorgeous Raspberry Road digi papers and went for a sort of crisp wintery theme with them.

Image:  LOTV 'Squirrels Ho Ho Ho'
Sentiment:  LOTV Christmas Grunge messages
Papers:  Raspberry Road Designs
Dies:  Spellbinders 'Romantic Rectangles', Crafters Companion 'Christmas Garden' Edgeable, Cheery Lynn 'Holly Flourish', Joy Crafts Winter Wishes Snowflake border

My usual close up of the sweetest little squirrels.  Lots of Stickles used and for a change and keeping with the frosty theme I've used clear gems instead of pearls.  I found the gorgeous ribbon in my stash so I've no idea where that came from.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:-

Simon Says Stamp  -  anything goes
Cute Card Thursday  -  anything goes
Christmas at Sweet Stampin  -  anything goes
Sweet Stampers  -  winter/snow

Crafters Castle -  anything goes

Okay, that's all from me folks.  I'm in the mood for some colouring so off to have a play.  I hope you have a great weekend.

Take care.

Feathered Friends

Good morning and a very happy Saturday to you my lovelies.  So how are we all doing with our Christmas makes? I'm doing okay I'm happy I've made a few but I need to get cracking and now that the kiddiewinkles have gone back to school I'm hoping I can get a shift on.

I have my latest make to share with you today and yes it is a Christmas card so that's another off the list.  I've made a criss cross card this time as I haven't made this style in a while.  I used the adorable LOTV image 'Feathered Friends' and coloured it in with my copics.  I made another poinsettia and covered it with Twinklets.  This die really does make a beautiful flower but I've found to get the full effect it is best to double up the bottom layer.  I hope the piccies are clear enough for you I'm struggling to get decent shots lately it's either too gloomy or brilliant sunshine I think a light box is going on my Christmas list this year!!

Medium:  copics
Papers:  First Edition 'Festive Treats'
Dies:  Spellbinders 'Poinsettia', Spellbinders 'Floral Ovals', Spellbinders 'Fleur de Lis rectangles', Dienamics 'Royal Leaf' set, Cheery Lynn 'Holly Flourish'
Twine, ribbon, sentiment from stash

Next up my usual close-up.  This is such a sweet image and really very easy to colour.  Obviously a sprinkling of glitter made an appearance.  Well it is a Crimbo card so it would be rude not too!!

So that's all from me today folks.  I'm off to have a rummage through some stamps so I can have a play.  Not sure what I fancy colouring up so I'll see where it takes me.  I hope you all have a great weekend and manage to get a little crafty.

Take care.

Bunnies Ho Ho Ho

Hello my lovelies and a very happy Monday to you.  So we are sort of half way through the school holidays and I think the kiddieswinkles have just about had enough time off now they're just getting a little restless and I've had a couple of 'I'm bored' comments.  It doesn't help that the weather has been ploppy so we've not really been able to plan much but hey my daughter has been having lots of fun making slime and I've just bought some air dry clay so that should be fun!

Anyway, I've finally finished another Christmas card which I've had sat on my desk all weekend.  This time I've used the cute LOTV 'Bunnies Ho Ho Ho' and it really is the most adorable little image.  As usual I've used my copics to colour it up which literally took no time at all once I'd decided to go with brown bunnies rather than grey.

Image:  LOTV 'Bunnies Ho Ho Ho'
Medium:  copics
Papers:  First Edition 'Nordic Christmas'
Dies:  Spellbinders 'Romantic Rectangles' & Layered Poinsettia, Joy Crafts 'Winter Wishes' snowflake border, Cheery Lynn Designs 'Holly Flourish', Marianne Design Creatables Christmas Tree, Crafters Companion 'Decorative Holly'

I went a bit OTT with the Twinklets but I do love them as snow and on the poinettia and pine cones they add some lovely texture.  The little wooden sign was a fab find in Hobbycraft and I got 5 in a pack for something like £2 so a bargain!

Usual close up of the sweet image and you can see the Twinklets a little better too.

Copics

Bunnies:  E31, E33, E35, E37/E50, E53/R12
Branches:  E31, E33, E35, E37, E29
Leaves:  YG23, YG63, YG67
Berries:  R14, R17, R29

Okay so that's all from me today folks.  I have a little time left still before I have to make it look like I've been doing housewifely things you know the 10 minute dash with the hoover and a quick tidy round!!

Take care and happy crafting.

Sweet Bunny Moon - Noor DT Call

Hello my lovelies and a very happy Sunday to you.  We've had a very soggy weekend here indeed but on the upside more crafting time yay!!

So did you know that Noor Design UK are having a DT call well a couple of calls actually, one for the Design Team and one for a Foamiran Design Team.  This doesn't happen very often (believe me I know as I'm a bit of a blog stalker!!) so when I saw it I was just a tad excited!  So as you've probably guessed my post today is dedicated to the Noor Design UK DT call.  For the call you were asked to make either a card, scrapbook page or mixed media project so as I mainly make cards that's what I did.  All the details are here

I chose to use the LOTV image 'Bunny Moon' and coloured it up with a mix of Copics and Spectrum Noirs.  I was having a rummage through my papers and came across some old Marianne Design baby papers which are just so pretty so they sort of dictated the colour scheme I went with.

Image:  LOTV 'Bunny Moon'
Medium:  Copics and Spectrum Noirs
Papers:  Marianne Design 'Eline's Babies'
Dies:  Crafters Companion Create-a-card 'Emma', CC baby dies
Ribbon/Lace from stash
Flowers:  Wild Orchid Crafts

I used a couple of little baby dies - the rattle and dummy and attached it to the bow to dangle like little charms.

My usual close up of the super sweet image.  The moon has been glittered to within an inch of it's life with Glamour Dust and it looks so pretty and twinkly in real life.

Copics/Spectrum Noirs

Body:  W00, W1, W2, W3, W5/R20/R81
Clothes:  B32, B23, B18, BV29 (for shadow)
Moon/Stars:  SN's LY1, LY2, LY3 + copic BV00 (for shadow)
Teddy:  E50, E53, E35/G20, G24
Background:  B91, B93, B95, B97, B99

Okay so for the next bit of my post I need to let you know a little bit about myself.   I'll start with the most obvious  - I'm a little bit craft mad bordering on addiction maybe!.  Okay, there, I've said it - it's now officially out in the open.  My closest friends would say I'm a little crazy and oh a tad accident prone, but hey I've yet to injure myself with the craft knife and I haven't glued myself to my chair yet so in my eyes we're all good.  I lurve, lurve, lurve my stamps and copics and, papers well that's a given I need say no more.  Add Christmas into the mix and I'm one happy bunny!

Not sure I have a style so to speak.  I like a little fussy I do love to build my cards up with embellishments but I'm not afraid to go clean and simple.  The common denominator in many of my creations though is colour.  I do love my colour.

I love to share my creations with other folks.  I have a Facebook page and share on lots of different craft sites.  I also have a Pinterest Board and an Instagram account too.  I can think of nothing better than posting something and to have inspired someone else to either craft or try something new.

Okay, so I've come to the end of my post.  I hope you like my card and all I can do now is wait and see and wish everyone who enters good luck.

So for now that's all from me.  It's late but my head is full of lots of ideas and my fingers are itching to colour so I'm off to stamp up something else.  I have work in the morning but hey who needs sleep it's overrated in my book!

Take care and happy crafting.

A little fairy love!

Hello and happy Thursday to everyone.  Work has been a bit on the busy side these past few days and I've not had the chance to share anything and I've been itching to.  Don't you just hate it when life gets in the way of your crafting.

Anyway, I have a little time before the troops expect feeding so I'm popping my latest card on my blog.  Now I've had this little stamp sat in my pile for a little while so I thought it was about time I inked her up.  I have a little bit of a soft spot for fairies and this cutie pie is no exception she is just too adorable and a dream to colour up.
