Christmas Melodies

Good morning and what a beautiful autumnal morning it is.  I'm sat doing my post with my first coffee of the day, nobody else in the house is up and my back door is wide open and all I can hear are the birds and its beautiful.

So my post today is to share with you another Christmas card made using a gorgeous Crafty Sentiments Designs image called 'Christmas Melodies'.  I decided to get my prismacolor pencils out for this one and to work on Kraft for a change and I'd forgotten how much I love pencils on Kraft.

Medium:  Prismacolor Pencils

As you can see I've kept it nice and simple so it's all about the image and I love it.  Next up is  the usual close up of the image.  I didn't blend the pencils this time with Sansodor and paper stumps like I normally do I just used the lightest pencil each time.  Love how vibrant it's turned out.  Obviously there's a little glitter there on the snow but the photo's are not picking it up very well.

Okay so that's all from me today folks.  I hope you're having a lovely weekend and the weather is staying kind for you, but hey if it's not it's a perfect excuse to get crafting!

Don't forget this image is available over at the Crafty Sentiments Designs store here and you can always visit the Crafty Sentiments Designs Inspirational blog here where you can get tons of inspiration from my team mates.

Take care.

Feathered Friends

Good morning and a very happy Saturday to you my lovelies.  So how are we all doing with our Christmas makes? I'm doing okay I'm happy I've made a few but I need to get cracking and now that the kiddiewinkles have gone back to school I'm hoping I can get a shift on.

I have my latest make to share with you today and yes it is a Christmas card so that's another off the list.  I've made a criss cross card this time as I haven't made this style in a while.  I used the adorable LOTV image 'Feathered Friends' and coloured it in with my copics.  I made another poinsettia and covered it with Twinklets.  This die really does make a beautiful flower but I've found to get the full effect it is best to double up the bottom layer.  I hope the piccies are clear enough for you I'm struggling to get decent shots lately it's either too gloomy or brilliant sunshine I think a light box is going on my Christmas list this year!!

Medium:  copics
Papers:  First Edition 'Festive Treats'
Dies:  Spellbinders 'Poinsettia', Spellbinders 'Floral Ovals', Spellbinders 'Fleur de Lis rectangles', Dienamics 'Royal Leaf' set, Cheery Lynn 'Holly Flourish'
Twine, ribbon, sentiment from stash

Next up my usual close-up.  This is such a sweet image and really very easy to colour.  Obviously a sprinkling of glitter made an appearance.  Well it is a Crimbo card so it would be rude not too!!

So that's all from me today folks.  I'm off to have a rummage through some stamps so I can have a play.  Not sure what I fancy colouring up so I'll see where it takes me.  I hope you all have a great weekend and manage to get a little crafty.

Take care.

A little mermaid magic

Hello and a very happy Tuesday to you all.  Both of my kiddiewinkles have gone back to school now and my youngest has gone off to secondary school.  Not sure how I feel about that one.  Sad I think as they are growing up way too fast for my liking.  On a plus note though I've never seen her so excited about going to school I mean she had her bag packed like weeks ago!!

Anyway, I am here today to share with you a little project I have done using one of Crafty Sentiments Designs adorable little images.  I chose to work with Mermaid Day Dream as both my daughter and I think she is adorable so I  made a little canvas to go on her bedroom wall.

Image:  Crafty Sentiments Designs 'mermaid day dream'
Medium:  Prismacolor pencils
Papers:  Raspberry Road 'Sea Pearls' digi papers
Flowers:  Wild Orchid Crafts and stash

My usual close-up of the image.  I coloured her with Prismacolor pencils blended with Sansador for a change and obviously she needed a little sparkle.

Okay, that's all from me this evening.  I'm off to make myself a coffee and to settle into a little colouring.  Hope you all have a great week.

Take care and happy crafting.
