Word Book - CC The Inspirers DT

Good morning my lovelies.  I hope you are all making the most of the gorgeous sunshine.  We got the pool out yesterday and it's been filling for hours so today once we've been strawberry picking that's where we will be spending most of our time as I think we are in for another scorcher!

Anyway, what I popped in for was to share with you another project I made for The Inpirers.  I was asked to make a project for a cousin and I'd been wanting to make one of these word books for such a long time and thought it would be perfect for the occasion.  I used the free CD from Crafters Inspiration Issue 10 for all of the papers and what I loved was the fact that I could print on both sides of the card and it looks really professional.  The letters were all inked up to give them some definition against the background papers.  Even the toppers,  bunting and sentiments all came from the CD.  Okay so let me show you some piccies.  I apologise as there are quite a few as I didn't know how best to photograph it.

Papers/toppers/bunting:  Crafters Inspiration Issue 10 free CD
Ribbon/pearls from stash

Look see what I mean double-sided pages .. love it!

The paper bow is from the CD too and look it even matches the main paper just a smaller version.

Challenges

Allsorts challenge  -  anything but a card

Okay that's all from me today.  Everyone is starting to stir and get up now but at least I've managed to get on here and have my morning coffee in peace so I'm happy.

Take care folks and happy crafting.

Coral Anniversary

Good morning my lovelies and what a fine one it is here to (at the moment!).  I am not working today so if all goes to plan I am hoping to have a bit of a crafty session as I have a fair few things I need to get finished.

Anyway, I was asked to make a 35th wedding anniversary card so decided on a bookatrix card as I always find these look very effective and are perfect for such a special occasion.  This time though once it was made I decided to actually score and make a larger card base and stick the bookatrix card on it so you can open it up like a normal card and write your message.  So here come a few piccies for you:-

I did make and decorate a presentation box for it to go in as well but as I was in such a rush to photograph it before it was collected I forgot to take piccies.

Right time for me to go.  Hubby just left for work with my son and my little girl is stirring upstairs so if I'm quick I may get some colouring done before she descends on me!!

Take care folks and happy crafting.

A Teacher 'thank you' gift

Good morning folks, popping in today as I wanted to share with you my latest Crafters Companion creation.

Did you know on the Crafters Companion blog they have loads of tutorials, well to be honest I didn't until recently but you should check them out they are fab and the blog has so much inspiration.  I came across this 'sticky note holder' tutorial and fell in love with it it's such a cute idea and perfect for some end of year teacher gifts for my daughter's teachers.  This is how mine turned out.

Image:-  Crafters Inspiration Issue 10 magazine - topper sheet printed from free CD
Bow/button:  Crafters Inspiration Issue 10 magazine - from free CD
Papers:  all printed from free CD

The bow is one I printed off the free CD too and I love it I think it looks so effective.  The button was on the same sheet as the topper and once I'd cut it out I used Glossy Accents on it but it's not showing up on my photo.

This is a photo of what the inside looks like.  Don't you just love that paper so so pretty.  I printed it from the CD too but me being me couldn't decide between the two paper designs so printed one on one side of the card, put it back through the printer and printed the second one on the other side.

My daughter loved it when I showed her ... now I have a list as long as my arm of who she wants to give one too so all I can say is I best start now!!

Right that's all from me today.  Off to work in about 1/2 hour so I'm going to grab a coffee and read my Crafters Inspiration magazine.  Am I the only one who reads the same magazine over and over again - I always seem to glean something new from it every time.

Take care and happy crafting.

Home sweet home

Good morning my lovelies and how are we all on this fine sunny Sunday.  I'm nursing a rather sore shoulder - I've managed to trap a nerve or something it feels like just under the blade but hey it got me out of cutting the grass so there is an upside!

Anyway, I've got another one of my Crafters Companion The Inspirers DT make to share with today.  I used the free CD that came with issue 10 of the Crafters Inspiration magazine to make a criss cross card.  There are some beautiful toppers on this CD for so many occasions and they really do print out beautifully.  All of the papers are from the CD too and are fab as they all co-ordinate.  I also added a little bit of glitter to the topper and a few pearls and I think it's one of my fave images.  The free hexagon dies that come with the issue are extremely useful too I've used two to make the tab on the insert and then also a mixture to make the little flowers.

Sentiment:  from topper sheet Crafters Inspiration Issue 10 free CD
Flowers:  made using free hexagon dies from Issue 10

Right I'm off to see what chores I can do with my poorly shoulder and then I'm going to be having a little crafty time providing we have no visitors turn up.

Take care and happy crafting.
