'So sorry' - Polkadoodles Challenge Wk 30

Happy Friday lovely crafty peeps.  I hope you are all well.  We're doing okay here although we're struggling with the heat a little.  Think I would cope better with it if I didn't have to work in it.  Well the kiddies have broken up for summer so all routine has gone out the window lol, but at least I have no lunch boxes to make yay!

So as it's Friday I have my usual Polkadoodles challenge make to share with you.  The DT were challenged with making something to say sorry, but as always for all you other crafty folk its an 'anything goes' theme.

Okay, so for my 'so sorry' make I decided to make a little something for someone who is feeling a little under the weather.  There are some cold/flu bugs going around so thought a little care package would be perfect.  I made mine big enough to fit in a pack of tissues and some hand sanitiser and some cold/flu sachets, but you can change this up in so many ways by adding cough sweets or lip balm etc.  I used 'Ruby Raindrop Umbrella' as my focal point.  I just thought she would be perfect for the job.  She's been coloured up with copics in a combo I don't normally use but thought it was lovely and bright and would cheer anyone up if they were feeling ploppy.

Medium: copics

A little looksie in side the package.

My usual close up of the image.  I think she is so pretty and perfect for any occasion really.

Copics used

Face/Body:  E000, E11, E13
Hair:  E31, E35, E37, E29
Clothes/Umbrella:  YG11, YG13, YG17/Y11, Y15, Y17

Okay so that's all from me today folks.  We've just bought a new tent, nothing fancy, something just large enough to fit my daughter and a few of her mates in so they can camp in the back garden lol.  Never put a tent up in my life so it should be fun, wish me luck lol!!!

Take care and happy crafting.

New ABC Challenges - N for Nautical

Good morning everyone and wishing you all a very happy Sunday.  Well it's the 15th of the month so that means it's time for another new challenge over at ABC Challenges and I'm here to share my DT card with you.

This time our challenge is

N for Nautical
(so we would like to see all your nautical/ocean themed creations)

and our fabby sponsor this time is

I was a little flummoxed when I first saw the theme as I don't possess any nautical stamps and then Tracy at Dies to Die For came to the rescue when she sent me the most fabulous Pion Design papers in my DT box.  These are simply gorgeous and as soon as I saw them knew they would be perfect for my ABC Challenges DT card.  So let me show you my card.

A bit of a side view for you.  The sentiment was one I found in my stash I think it was a sheet of freebies from a magazine at some point and the embellishments were 'borrowed' from my little girl's stash of goodies she'd collected at the beach which I thought would be just the perfect touch to my card.  The little glass jar was from a pack of 5 I bought ages ago from The Range for the grand old price of £1 and a right bargain I think.

A closer look at the main image.  This was cut from one of the sheets of paper and I just added some glossy accents to make bubbles.

Challenges I would like to enter:

Bunny Zoes  -  layers

Papertake Weekly  -  for the boys

Cute Card Thursdays  -  so macho

Okay time for me to go for now.  Thank you for stopping by and I'll be back later on with a little something Whimsy.

Take care.

Okay so here is my creation for the challenge theme.  A little while ago I saw a Bookatrix card which reminded me I have the board and hadn't made one in such a long time and thought I best remedy that.

Not a copic in sight this time too she has been coloured completely with Prismacolor pencils and blended with Sansador.  I'd also forgotten how much I enjoyed colouring with pencils so these will probably be staying on my desk for a while.

Challenges I would like to enter:-

Creative Inspirations  -  anything goes

My Mum's Craft Shop  -  lots of layers

Crafty Ribbons Challenge  -  anything goes with ribbon

ABC Challenge time - K for Keep it Simple

Hello everyone its an early pop in from me today as its new challenge time over on ABC Challenges and I'm here to share with you my dt card.

Our challenge this time is

‘K is for Keep It Simple’
For this challenge we want to see Clean & Simple creations.

Our terrific sponsor this time is

and the winner gets to choose 3 digis of their choice.

So here's my card and I hope you like it.  I got to play with Dragonfly Peekaboo and its such a sweet image and a doddle to colour.  I wanted the wings to look all shimmery but didn't really want to go down the glitter route so I had a rummage around and found my old Sakura Gelly Roll pens.  I thought to myself these are never going to work as they are years old and had been stuffed away in a draw, but hey they worked perfectly so now my dragonflies have a gentle sheen to them which I love.

So that's my take on the clean and simple theme so why not have a go and come join us over at ABC we'd love to have you.

Take care.

ABC Challenges - J for 'Just as you Like'

Hello everyone and wishing a very happy Tuesday to you all.

Well its the 15th of the month folks so its time for another new challenge over ABC Challenges and we have moved on to the letter J so that is J for Just as you Like (anything goes) and we are being sponsored by both Marianne Designs and The Ribbon Girl for this challenge.

Okay so my creation this time is something a little bit different.  I've used the new Whimsy Mini Chalkboard sentiments set by Simonne Clay and as soon as I saw these I knew I wanted to make a mini chalkboard so that's what I did and so love the finished card.

Flowers:  The Ribbon Girl and Wild Orchid Crafts

I inked up the sentiment with white ink and then heat embossed with some sparkly embossing powder.  I made the pennant from the 'Celebration Pennants' sentiment set and just stamped it on to pattered paper and cut it out.  I then added a few flowers and some black foliage using a die from the new Whimsy Garden Flower dies set which I love and is so delicate looking and my card was finished.

A closer look at the fab sentiment.  This set is so useful there's a little bit of everything in there for you from Birthday to Halloween.

Okay that's all from me today peeps.  Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by it is very much appreciated.  Enjoy your day and happy crafting my lovelies.

Take care.

Tilda in Butterfly Dress - ABC DT

Good morning my lovelies and I hope it is a fine one where you are.  It is a glorious Spring day here it really is lovely to wake up to a bright and sunny day!

Okay so with it being the 15th of the month it's time for a new challenge over on the ABC Challenges and today's letter is H so that is H for Hair so we would like to see your creations  showcasing hair.  This challenge we are being sponsored by Tilda's Town so come on over and join in with us to have a chance at winning the fabby prize.

So for my DT card I had a good old rummage around my Magnolia stamps and picked out one I haven't used for a while and I've always loved colouring in Tilda's hair on this one.  I've picked some papers that are a favourite of mine and I don't use very often as I don't want to use them all up silly I know.  So Tilda is dressed in my favourite colour today - Red - and I always love teaming it with black as I think it always looks so striking.

Image:  Magnolia 'Tilda with Butterfly Dress'
Medium:  copics
Papers:  Tilda 'Wintergarden'
Dies/Punches:  Whimsy corners, Spellbinders 'Romantic Rectangles', Martha Stewart 'Lattice Heart' deep edge punch

It has been such a long time since I played with a Magnolia stamp I thought it was about time I put that right, so I inked up 'Summer Flower Tilda' as she's still one of my faves and used the fab sketch over at Sunday Sketch & Stamp.  Okay, lets get some piccies in here:-

D for Dazzle over on The ABC Challenge

Good morning all from a rather dreary and wet Bournemouth.

Well its the 15th so its time for a new challenge over on The ABC Challenge and we've moved on to the letter D so that's 'D' for Dazzle so that's lots of bling and/or sparkle so a real easy one folks.  We are sponsored this time by the fab Pink Gem Designs and I got to play with Ellie with Postbox and I used the pre-coloured version.

Okay so here's my card and it's another criss cross one, so loving these at the moment.  Well I used Christmas papers on this one although they're not overtly festive and I thought the image was quite versatile too as it doesn't have to be used for Christmas it would also work for Dec/Jan birthdays or just a thank you really.

Papers:  Papermania 'Home for Christmas'

Okay folks time for me to go do something productive around the house - yuk would much rather be crafting!

Enjoy your Wednesday, take care.

'A' for Almost Christmas over on The ABC Challenge

Good morning my lovelies, I'm scheduling this post as I'm hoping to have some sort of a lay in this Sunday morn, but the jury is still out as to whether the kiddies will see it that way!

Anyway, just a quick pop in from me today as its that time of the month again when there is a new challenge up over on The ABC Challenge and we're right back at the beginning this time with the letter A so that's 'A' for Almost Christmas and we would like to see all of your Christmas cards/makes.  If you're like me you still have a few to do so don't by shy come over and join in with us.  Our lovely sponsor this time is The Paper Shelter and I got to use a cutie pie of an image called 'Christmas Candy Fairy'.

Okay so here's my card and the image has been coloured with my copics again in traditional colours which I seem to be favouring at the moment.

Sentiment: is a 3d sticker from a very old K & Co set as is the star on the bow and the ribbon I saved from a Christmas present last year - knew it would come in handy!

The usual close up to show the image.  Really love how its turned out and I love the red combo which is a new one for me - a bit of a brighter red than I normally go for.

Copics List

New challenge at The ABC Challenge - Black & White/Stripes

Yay! its Friday everyone and I don't know about you but I'm ready for the weekend its just been one of those weeks.  We've just started painting our hallway, stairs and landing but I don't know if I like the paint colour but we've bought the paint now and it was the stuff you have mixed and at nearly £70 for three tins I'm not changing it, but hey never mind once the carpet is up and wood flooring down I'm sure it will grow on me!

Anyway, its the 15th of the month and that means its time for another new challenge over at The ABC Challenge and I have my DT card to share with you all.  This challenge we are on the letter Z so that's Z for Zebra so a card or creation with stripes or black and white or even both its up to you.  We have two fabby sponsors this time Bugaboo Digi Stamps and Lili of the Valley so come on over and join us we'd love to have you.  My teamies as usual have been busy making beautiful creations for you to feast your eyes upon so go and take a peek at all the gorgeous inspiration.

Okay so here's what I made.  I went down the black and white route and made a Clean & Simple card using a LOTV image coloured completely with Promarkers this time.  Okay so you all know that Clean & Simple is not really my thing I just don't seem to be able to pull it off, but amazingly I actually love how this card turned out and think I may be making a few more along this theme for some quick cards I need.  Anyway, enough waffle here's the piccies:-

Image:  LOTV 'Shine a Light'
Medium:  Promarkers

Okay a little view from the side.  I raised the image panel up with sticky pads just for a little added dimension.  Added some old velvet ribbon, tied a double bow and then added a metal snowflake brad to finish it off.

A quick close up of the adorable image, its not a new one but its one of my faves.  I decided to have black fur and not white and I'm glad I did I think it sets it off better.  I used some black fake flock and glitter so its quite tactile too.  Plenty of Glamour Dust for the snow and snowflakes and I was done and it didn't really take that long either.

 Promarkers List

Ice Grey 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and black

So that's it from me today folks.  I wish you all a very happy weekend I know I'm going to savour mine and I think I may nip to Costa they have their seasonal drinks on the menu now and their black forest hot chocolate is to die for!

Take care,
Ann-Marie
