First Crimbly card!!!

Happy Tuesday to you I hope your week has got off to a good start.  Mine started with lunch out with a good friend and a good old catch up so thats what I call a great start.  Anyway I wanted to show you my first Christmas card of 2012 and of course I used a Magnolia.  I've gone with a traditional colour theme for this one and I made another criss cross card.  I do love making Christmas cards I can add  bling and sparkle to my hearts content!!!

She has been coloured completely with copics this time and lots of stickles added to the trims and bobble.  I thought I would add the presentation box in my photo this time which has been decorated to match the card.

Papers are Papermania and I must admit they were lovely quality but I just wish they would include a few more pages of each design.

My poinsettia is a Marianne Design die and I've dipped the petals in Twinklets.  I've used a cherry blossom from WOC for the centre and I quite like how its turned out.  I used my Martha Stewart doily punch to edge the card and the fab lamp post is a Marianne die also and I can see this getting a lot of use just love it.

Off now to have a bash at finishing another Christmas card.

Roses are red

Hello folks from a rather beautiful Wednesday afternoon.  Its so gorgeous today not too hot with a lovely breeze just as it should be for a June day if only it would continue but we have rain heading in to spoil it all and there was me hoping to make it out to the forest with the kiddies at the weekend!

Well I've managed to finish another card and thought I would take the time to share it with you all. I've used another Tilda and she's one of my favourites - think it may be the dress just love that dress!

I've used papers from Tilda Flowergarden pad and boy did I struggle to cut into these.  I've had the pad for a good while and kept getting it out, stroking the papers and then deciding no I can't possibly cut into them but hey I've done it and I had to chuckle at myself as yep I've put it away again probably not to be used for another six months, well I don't want to use them up all at once!!!!! Decided to back them with black card and I love the effect really makes the papers pop.

A little bit of a side view.  Tilda has been coloured with copics.  Flowers and corners are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Ribbon and lace from stash and the sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.  You can just about see the inside has been decorated to compliment the front of the card and thats about it really.

Okay I've got about 30 mins before I have to do the school run I wonder how much crafting I can squeeze into it!!!!

Flower Power!

Hello folks hope you are all okay on this rather blustery Friday.  What is up with the weather seriously I am so fed up with getting wet and it was so blinking cold here the other day I had to turn the heating on IN JUNE!!!

Right thats my little outburst on the weather over.  Now to show you the latest of my cards.  I thought I would make an easel card this time and also decided to use my bookatrix board again but only for one layer this time and this is how it turned out.

A few different things used on this one.  Obviously a tilda and coloured with a mixture of copics and promarkers.  A Cheery Lynn swirl die, Nellies multiframe hearts and Spellbinders label.  Lots of WOC roses had to stop myself adding more hence the title of my post.  Some lace, ribbon and pearls from stash and papers are a download 'Heartfelt' from Raspberry Road Designs and are lush shame I covered most of them up really.

A side view.  I always find it difficult to photo easel cards but I think this shows the depth.

Right got to get going the kiddies are pestering me for their tea.  As its Friday its the one day the kiddies get to choose what they have so you can imagine its junk food Friday not a vegetable in sight.  Today is no exception they have chosen pizza and I will have no rest until they are feeding their faces!!!

Take care folks and happy crafting.

Yes I do own other stamps!!!!

Hello all I hope your week is going well.  Mine is so far, the kiddiewinkles went back to school today after half term so I've had a chance to catch up a little on the dreaded housework so all being well I can have a crafty day tomorrow, yeh!!

Well I've just popped on to show you something I've been working on for the last two days.  Now you may want to grab yourself a cuppa as there are quite a few photos.  I've kept them to a minimum by only showing you closeups of the outside layer plus I was getting frustrated with how long it was taking me to upload everything.

Anyway, I've made a two layer exploding box and as the title suggests I've used some different stamps to my norm.  I've had these Penny Black little beauties for a number of years (yes I said years!!!) and not used them so I set about making that right.

The papers are an old My Minds Eye pad which I'd forgotten I had and these really set the colour tone for the project.   An overall view of the inside layer, lots of flowers from WOC and lots of use of the my Martha Stewart branch punch.

The closeups of the outside layer.  Lots of gems, copious amounts of Stickles and I so love the fence and birdhouse dies.

I made this framework using a corner die from Nellie's multiframes.

Okay thats the piccies done, I hope I didn't bore you too much.

Challenges I would like to enter:-

Take care and happy crafting.

Going for a little bike ride!!

Hello folks I hope you have been enjoying your weekend, its been quiet here as the kiddiewinkles are away at their other nanny's for a couple of days and boy am I missing them it seems as though I haven't seen them much at all this half term.

Haven't spent much time in my craft room this weekend as we decided to tidy the garden a little and pot up some hanging baskets and tubs.  I did manage to finish this card though and it would appear I am having a little bit of a pink phase.

I've used an old Sarah Kay stamp - well she's new to my collection but has been out a long time.  There are so many new stamps being released all the time I can't keep up as pennies can be a little tight at times, so inevitably end up with a long long wish list but at least I can tick her off now!!!!  I have coloured her with a mixture of copics and prisma pencils and I think I've managed to achieve a soft look for a change.

Papers are Thimbles and Threads from Nitwits and very soft and pretty, love them.  Flowers from WOC and I used some pearl trim which I've had for an absolute age, think its from my local haberdashers though.

Well thats it from me, its gone 1 a.m. and I must say feeling a little tired but can't go to bed yet as hubby is out with mates and hasn't taken his keys so I think a little colouring may be on the cards.

Take care and happy crafting.

Mmm cherries!

and the thought of cherries is making my mouth water!!  Anyway, happy Sunday folks I hope you are enjoying your extra long Jubilee weekend and perhaps sneaking a little crafty time in, I know I am.  Just wanted to quickly show you my latest card.  This one seems to have taken me ages I've been trying all week to finish it.

Its another criss cross card, I just love these so easy to do and they look so effective.  I've used the really sweet Tilda picking cherries and coloured her completely with copics.  The gorgeous papers are called 'Cherry Blossoms' from Nitwits.

I stamped her again on the inside section but decided not to colour her.  Flowers are from WOC as usual and the largest one has been dipped in glamour dust but not really sure you can see it properly in the photo.  My trusty Martha Stewart heart, leaf and butterfly punches also got an outing and a few pearls dotted around.
