Wee Stamps 'Spring Bringer'

Hey there my lovelies a late pop in from me today but everyone's gone to bed I've got myself a nice milky drink and I can have some me time and what better to do with this time than to share with you my latest card.

So today I have an easel card to show you.  It's been ages since I've made one of these and I'd forgotten how easy they are but a right pain to photograph!  So I knew I wanted to play with a Wee stamp and chose to ink up the adorable 'Spring Bringer' and I've coloured her with my copics and added just a hint of sparkle ... hey you need a little sparkle on your fairy wings!  I wanted some really pretty spring like papers so once I'd rummaged through my rather large stack I settled on these and coloured my image up to compliment them.  I rather like the colour combo so this one may crop up again.

Let your dreams take flight

Good evening my lovelies.  A bit of a late pop in from me but it's just been one of those days .. you know the sort where you've been busy but nothing actually got done kinda day .. yes one of those and don't you just hate them .. well I do with a passion.  Hubby was home today the first Saturday in at least a month where he's not had to work and I thought hey that will be kinda nice - yes until that was he had a great idea he was going to tidy and rearrange his garage.  Somehow, not quite sure how, but I seem to now have a conservatory full of 'toot' that was obviously in the garage for a reason and he's decided he doesn't want it in there so I feel a tip run coming on big time!

Anyway, I digress, what I'm really popping in for is not to share my moans with you all but to share my latest creation with you.  I was asked by a dear friend if I would make her a card for her to give to her daughter after her proms and exams have all finished.  My only remit was to have an image of a dress to resemble her prom dress and the colour minty green but with a turquoise hint to it to match her outfit and her hair to be strawberry blonde.  Of course my first port of call was Saturated Canary as I knew I would find an image for what I needed from Krista's amazing collection and I settled on 'Bubbles' who I think is perfect.  She has as normal been coloured with copics.  I was lucky enough to have in my collection the gorgeous Melissa Frances '5th Avenue' paper pad which complimented the image perfectly.  I decided to distress things up a little and roughed up the edges of the papers and inked them up with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.  In fact I went a little bit ink crazy and distressed quite a lot buy hey I like the outcome so no worries.

A lil bit of Sarah Kay

Good morning my lovelies.  It's a Bank holiday today and in true bank holiday style it's cold and miserable so my plans of having all my washing outside have gone by the wayside.

Anyway, I'm just popping in to share a card I've just managed to finish.  Whilst I was having a rummage around my stamp draws I came across a bunch of Sarah Kay stamps I haven't used in absolutely ages so picked one of my favourites to ink up.  Decided I'd do a different style card instead of my usual 6 x 6 so plumped for a front step card.  I've also seen a challenge somewhere to make your own flowers so I'd seen a while back on a blog how to make these gorgeous flowers so had a go too.  Now can't remember for the life of me what challenge it was so will have to hunt for that one out but I can remember the flowers were on Norma's fab blog here.  She has loads of inspiration on there so you should check it out.  So let me show you what how it turned out.

My last photo shows the image close up and coloured with my copics.  It's actually a real easy image to colour so I don't know why I don't use them more often as they really are very sweet.

Okay that's all from me today.  Got to go lovely food shopping now what a thing to have to do on a bank holiday but I suppose if I want the kiddies to have stuff for their lunch boxes next week best get my behind in gear.  Then I assure you I'm coming home and sneaking in some colouring!

Take care.
