Strawberry Tea anyone?

Hello everyone, wishing you a happy Thursday from a bright and sunny morning here in Bournemouth (not sure how long the sun is going to be around though).  Well our week is not going as planned but isn't that always the way.  It started with my little girl off from school but she went back yesterday but would you believe I had a phone call from my son's school on Tuesday to say could I come and collect him he wasn't well so now I have a poorly lad home instead.

Well moving on to my card.  I've used an adorable Elisabeth Bell image today called I think 'Strawberry Tea' coloured with my copics.

Must dash, haven't really done anything productive yet today so I'm going to post this and then shut my craft room door and go and do something around the house (how long do you think it will be before I've crept back into my craft room for a play?!?!?!)

I hope your day goes well, take care and see you soon.

Happy Monday to everyone, I hope you are having a good start to the week.  I have a poorly princess home from school today so thats my start to the week.

I have a card to show you today and I've used a digi.  Yep, a digi.  Now thats a first for me.  I'm definately a rubber type of girl but I've been admiring digis from afar for a long time and I've had this image from Saturated Canary for what would seem like an age.  It was easier than I expected to resize and everything and she was lovely to colour.

Love is in the air

Hello everyone, just quickly popping on to load up my latest card.  Its a Magnolia one again and its one of those stamps that when it was released I thought it was so so cute and just had to have it (as you do!!) and then it got buried and never inked it up.  So when I was having my rummage the other day out she popped and its a great image perfect really for Valentines with her blowing her little hearts.  Anyway, heres the piccies:-

Yesterday evening I went to a meeting at my son's school about a residential he is going on in a few weeks.  They gave us a kit list and lets just say I have a bit of shopping to do.  He's going for 5 days and I know he is so going to enjoy it they have so many activities planned he's going to have a blast BUT 5 days without my boy at home not sure how I'm going to cope with that one.   Anyway what did make me laugh was hubby when he found out it was for 5 days AND he is not allowed to take a mobile so no contacting home AND it is overseas.   Now that was the point at which I laughed almost till I cried you see the residential is only on the Isle of Wight yes thats right the Isle of Wight a trip that will take no longer than 30 mins on the ferry!!!

Anyway, I will love you and leave you.

Take care and happy crafting.

A non Christmas Christmas Tilda!!!

Hello everyone I hope you are all good on this extremely chilly day, but I'm not complaining I'd much rather have cold and dry to raining and windy any day!!!
So I've just popped on to show you my latest card and I hope you like it. I've gone back to my Tilda's for this one. I had a little rummage around in my stamp collection and went with this one.  She's actually from a Christmas collection but she's so very versatile.   Anyway here come the piccies:-

Image  -  Magnolia Tilda with Christmas Flowers
Medium  -  Copics
Papers  -  Websters

A bit of a side view going on.  I've used a piece of black organza I found in my stash to make the large bow, I just ruched it up and tied it with the pearls and then just used ordinary organza ribbon across the centre to match and added the pink ribbon on top to lift it.

Finally a close up of the image and you can also see the gorgeous little wooden butterflies.  Just love these and could do with some more the trouble is I've had them so long I can't remember where I bought them in the first place!!!!

Challenges I would like to enter:-

Sketch & Stash  -  great sketch (used old organza and old wooden butterflies) option of vintage

Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia  -  Ribbon or Lace

My Mum's Craft Shop  -  anything goes

Copic Marker Europe  -  anything goes with Copic markers

Stampin for the Weekend  -  something girlie

Okay thats all from me.  Gotta dash treating ourselves to a chinese takeaway tonight its the first time in a while we've both felt well enough to enjoy one and my greedy belly is rumbling at the thought of it mmmm...

Take care folks and happy crafting.

My first card of 2013!

Hi everyone I hope you are all staying safe and warm in this blast of wintery weather we are having in the UK.  We even had snow here in Bournemouth we get it so rarely that the kiddies were so excited.  It wasn't enough to warrant their schools closing so they were a bit disappointed but to make up for it we had a huge snowball fight on the way to school so by the time we arrived at the classroom I was absolutely covered he he I did get a strange look from the teacher!! In fact I'm not sure who is worse me or the kids.  It did at least last till they got home so we could go out and make snowmen (yes I was the first one out there too!!!) and have another snowball fight with the neighbours over the hedge!!!

Okay so time to show you my first card of 2013 and its a Christmas card (was that a groan I heard, I'm sure it was!!!!).  I've decided this year, as quite a few crafters have, not to leave these cards to the last minute so hopefully this will be the first of many.  Anyway, here it is and I used the sketch from over on Addicted to Stamps challenge but turned it round to suit the image.

 Image:-  Stampavie 'Mistletoe & Mice'
Medium:-  Copics
Papers:-  Papermania 'home for Christmas'

Get me I've used animals!!! I so very rarely colour animals as I'm never really sure how to colour them but these were really quite easy and its such a cute stamp too.

WINNER of my Xmas/Birthday candy

Hi everyone, I know its the middle of January but its the first time I've been on my blog since before Christmas and I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year and all the best for 2013.

Over Christmas I had a little candy running and I'm very sorry its taken this long for me to announce the winner.  Life gets in the way of best laid plans at times and what with school and clubs starting up again and more than our fair share of illnesses!!!! its taken a lot longer to get on here.  As I haven't a clue how to do that random thingy I put everyones name that entered into a little box and got my son to pick out one so without anymore waiting the winner is ..........

Congrats sweetie if you would like to e-mail me your address I'll get your little package in the post to you asap.

I would like to say thank you to everyone that took the time to enter and I'll start squirrelling away a few more things so I can do another one.  Today is the first day I've actually spent some time in my craft room aswell so hopefully I should have something to show you soon.

Catch up with you all soon and take care everyone with the bad weather.

My first candy, a little sweet treat for you!

Hello to everyone, sorry I haven't been around much these past couple of weeks but time has been short and unfortunately crafting and blogging seems to be one of the things that gets put to one side, which is strange really when its the main thing that tends to keep me sane when things go awry.

Anyway, lets get back to why I'm here.   I have been for a while squirrelling away little bits and pieces and what with Christmas and my birthday in January I thought it would be an excellent time to have a candy.  It is also to say a big thank you to everyone who pops in to see me and to those that leave me such encouraging comments they really do mean a lot.  So here's a piccie of my candy.

I'll give you a list as the piccie isn't that great:-

1.  Martha Stewart 'lattice heart' border punch
2.  K & Company 'sparkly sweet' 6 x 6 paper pad
3.  Magnolia 'Tilda loves flowers' stamp
4.  Stampavie Penny Johnson 'Rosie Rabit' stamp
5.  Whiff of Joy guardian angel stamp
6.  Stampavie Mo Manning 'end of summer' stamp
7.  Paper doilies
8.  Selection of metal tags
9.   Selection of metal charms
10.  Selection of wooden hearts
11.  A pack of rainbow butterflies
12.  Selection of paper flowers
13.  Selection of fabric flowers
14.  Pack of crochet flowers
15.  Selection of ribbons
16.  A roll of raffia ribbon

Okay thats whats in it, I hope you like it.  I don't know how to do Mr. Linky so if you would like a chance of winning my candy please leave me a comment on this post.  If I can work it out I will have this as a sticky on my blog.

I don't go in much for lots of rules all I ask is that you enter just the once to make it fair to everyone else.  Be a follower of my blog or become one but only if you like it here.  Spread the word, a piccie in your sidebar would be great but is certainly not a necessity.

I will post internationally but will not be liable for any taxes or duties.  I thought as its quite close to Christmas I would let my candy run until the new year so will draw a winner on Friday 4th January 2013.

That just leaves me to wish everyone a Happy Christmas and best wishes for the New Year.
