Not a shop bought flower in sight!!!!

Hi all, I hope you are okay.  All is peachy in my neck of the woods.  I think Spring is just around the corner it is so close I can taste it.

I'm getting a little ahead of myself at the moment and I've made an Easter card.  I decided to make a tent card which was great fun, not quite sure what I was thinking with the colour combo though its not my usual style and would you believe there is not a shop bought flower in sight all the flowers have been made using punches for a change.  I do think it is lacking something not sure what though and I am not 100% happy with it wasnt quite what I had pictured in my head.

The gorgeous papers I used were Prima Sweet Fairy.  Stamps coloured with a mixture of copics, promarkers and prismacolor pencils.  The sentiment is a Forever Friends die cut.

Actually, if you read my earlier post this is the card that I was making when I broke my cuttlebug. I was die cutting the scalloped circle out so I could place the scene behind.

My hubby is at the moment tinkering with it (they do like to tinker don't they!!!) in the hope that he won't have to fork out for a new one.  I would like to thank all of you that took the time to leave me your comments about different machines available I have found them invaluable.  I was gutted when it broke but I am actually quite excited now at the prospect of a new machine and I think I am going to get a Big Shot that is of course when my hubby realises its a lost cause which I hope will be sooner rather than later.

Okay,  a couple of challenges that I would like to enter into:-

Right, thats a wrap from me.  Have lots of crafty fun wherever you are.

Take care.

My Cuttlebug is poorly!!

Hi all, just a brief one from me.  I was in the middle of making my latest card and was putting something through the Bug when the damn thing made an almighty noise and the side literally shot off.  Thinking about it now it was quite funny but it didnt half make me jump and I guess I must have been trying to put too much through although it wasnt many layers and I've done it before so perhaps it was on its last legs.

Anyway, the reason why I'm here is I can't live without some sort of diecutting machine but have been thinking about changing to say maybe the Grand Calibur or a Big Shot.  It is obviously a considered purchase or do I just get a second hand Bug off e-bay at a fraction of the price.  What do you have folks?  At this moment I'm veering towards a new machine just so I can have the larger dies.

Take care.

A Wee Change!

Hi ya folks!  I know its been a while.  Haven't done much crafting of late I think my mojo has packed up and gone on holiday - I hope its somewhere warm as its blinking freezing here!

Well those that know me will know that I am very much a creature of habit and this is quite often reflected in my craft as I tend to stick with the same stamps and colour themes.  Well I was bought a Wee stamp for Crimbo so thought I would have a change from my normal stamps and ink it up.  I was also given for Crimbo a small sewing machine nothing fancy but more than adequate for crafting with so hey I pushed the boat out and did some stitching on my card as well.

I have coloured her with copics, the papers are First Edition Summer Breeze and are just devine with added glitter accents and the flowers are from WOC.  A quick side view of the card:

Well I'm gonna poodle off now and stamp up some images to colour.  Wish me luck I did this the other day and they all ended up in the bin in disgust!  Before I go I want to enter into a few challenges:-

Right catch ya later folks, have a good one wherever you are and stay safe and warm in this chilly weather.

Take care.
