Okay so goodbye Google Reader!!

Okay folks firstly a very happy Sunday to you wherever you are.  We have blazing sunshine here warm enough to get the pool out for the kiddies so whilst they're having fun thought I'd pop on here quickly.

I understand from hopping around blogland that Google Reader is leaving us.  Well I'll be the first to admit that I'm not the most computer literate person so I won't claim to know what that means or how it will affect me however I do know that quite a few of you have set up Bloglovin.  So as I really have no idea whats going on I'm also jumping on the Bloglovin bandwagon just to be on the safe side.  So I think I have managed to set it up and get the button on the side of my blog so if you would like to follow me please do so.

So thank you guys if you've read this and decided to follow me it is very much appreciated and come tomorrow I will find out how this has all effected me.

Take care
Ann-Marie

Some amazing news!... and some cardage

Hello folks do you know I have been trying to write this post since yesterday and I'm finally getting to do it now!  I have some fantabulous news to share (and I still can't believe it!) I have been invited to join the amazingly talented DT at Whimsy Stamps oh yes to say I was a little happy was certainly an understatement.  I may have done a seriously uncool dance around the kitchen and had a permanent silly grin on my face all day which prompted some odd looks from the kiddies!  I would just like to say a BIG thank you to Denise for having me I am over the moon.

Okay whilst I'm here I thought I would show you my latest card I have made which has been sat on my desk for a few days waiting to be blogged.  It has been made using the Saturated Canary digi 'Sabrina' and I followed the sketch over at Sketch and Stash.

Tilda on Kraft

Hello everyone I hope your week is going swimmingly mine has sort of whizzed by in a blur but I think it was a good one!

The weather is dark and dreary today AGAIN and I heard on the radio this morning that tomorrow (21st) is the longest day WHAT! we've hardly had any nice weather and now the nights are going to be drawing in I guess those 5 or so days of warm weather we had a few weeks ago was our summer this year!!!!

Well after that depressing note I shall swiftly move on to show you my card.  I thought I would use a Maggie for a change and went with 'summer flower tilda'.  She has been coloured solely with Prisma pencils onto Kraft card.  I followed the fabby sketch over at CLP challenge blog and this is what I came up with.

Image:  Magnolia 'summer flower tilda'
Medium:  Prismacolor pencils blended with Sansador
Papers:  Prima 'botanical collection'
Dies:  Spellbinders 'floral ovals'
lace/ribbon/pearls from stash
all matted onto cardstock from The Papermill Direct

I decided I wanted a double bow so used a little lace as well and I didn't have the right coloured ribbon so used my copic RV99 to colour some plain white satin ribbon.

A close up of Tilda and I so love that dark cardstock from the Papermill I think its called maroon and is such a rich sumptuous colour and goes lovely with the kraft.

Prismas used
Face/body:  light peach, peach, burnt ochre
Dress/boots:  seashell pink, dark purple, black cherry, mahogany red
Flower/wings:  beige, jasmine, lime peel, kelly green
Hair:  ginger root, light umber, dark brown
adding shadows and depth:  90% cool grey over the colours

Catch up with you later folks and hope you manage to squeeze in some crafty time.

Life's a Beach!.....

...... and then you marry one!  This always makes me laugh as its something my hubby says.  You all know that saying 'life's a b..... (insert relevant swear word) but he always changes it when the kiddies are in earshot to 'life's a beach' and it just makes me chuckle everything time - little things I know!!!!!

Anyway, I had a birthday card I needed to do for a friends daughter who loves surfing so thought this image at Saturated Canary would be perfect.   Its not normally the sort I would go for but I love it and it was a doddle to colour.  So here it is, hope you like it!

Image:  Saturated Canary 'toes in the sand'
Medium:  copics
Papers:  DCWV 'the spring stack'

Vintage Violet, new challenge at ABC Challenges

Hi folks a very happy Saturday to you all.  I'm here with my DT card for the new challenge over at The ABC Challenges and today we are on P for Pretty in Pink and we are sponsored this time by the fab My Favourite Things.

So here's what I made for the theme.  I've used the utterly divine 'Vintage Violet' by Saturated Canary and she's been coloured up with copics.

Image:  Saturated Canary 'Vintage Violet'
Papers:  My Minds Eye 'Quite Contrary' - freebie from a magazine
Medium:  Copics
Dies:  MFT 'crochet border', MFT 'royal leaves', Magnolia swirl and doily flowers
all matted onto cardstock from Papermill Direct
everything else from stash

A quick side view and you can see the MFT royal leaves die and a better view of the Magnolia doily flower.  I used the pink cardstock and cut out 5 of the doily flowers, inked them all up with Tim Holtz distress ink and then blitzed them with a good dose of Glimmer Mist, let them dry and put them together with a pearl brad from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Lastly the close up of the adorable image.  She's been on my 'must have list' for a while and I caved the other day when Krista had an offer on, don't you just love her!

Copics used

Face:  E000, E00, E11, R20
Dress:  R81, R83, R85/ YG11, YG13, YG67/ BG07, BG09, Flexmarker soft aqua

Okay folks time to dash its now the early hours of the morning and I'm not sure what I'm typing here things are looking a little blurry!!

A Wee fairy

Good morning my friends I hope your day is as gorgeous as it is here.  Its beautiful not a cloud in the sky and the birdies are chirping away really does make you feel great!

Anyway, I've popped in to show you my latest card.  I have many stamps and I love them all and every time I play with one I think 'oh this is my favourite' until the next time of course.  I have a soft spot in my heart for flower fairies of any kind always have had since a little girl when I used to read the flower fairy poems my Cicely Mary Barker.  So when I saw the little fairies released by Sylia Zet I knew I had to have them.

They're so adorable and so easy to colour.  I've coloured using my Prismas this time and I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

Image:  Wee Stamps 'flower fairies' digi
Medium:  Prismacolor pencils blended with Sansador
Papers:  Prima 'Sweet Fairy' - of course!

My first card as DT member for ABC challenges!

Hello everyone long time no speak! Its been a tad hectic here and what with half term I've not spent that much time in my little crafty abode.  The kiddies are back at school next week so I'm hoping normal creative mode will resume when its a little more peaceful around here!

Anyway, I have some amazing news to share with you all today and that is I have been asked to join the fabulous team over at ABC Challenges.  Well I needed all of two seconds to answer that one and I am thrilled to become part of a fab team and very grateful they have given me this opportunity.  Thank you so much!!

So moving on I am here to show you my first creation as an ABC DT member and for this challenge we are on 'O for open'.   Yes its 'anything goes' so a nice easy one so no excuses not to join in and we are being sponsored by the fabby Marker Pop and Paper Shelter so even more reason to join in!
