'Surprise!!' - Polkadoodles Wk 12 challenge

Happy Friday lovely crafty friends.  I hope you've had a good week where you are.  We've had some typical Spring weather here - brilliant sunshine one minute then lashing down with rain the next lol!  We've had another busy week lots happening with my son at 6th form with Uni choices to be made etc and I've got a busy weekend ahead.  A lovely girly catch up with the family tonight with curry thrown into the mix yum, work first thing tomorrow and then I'm heading off to Brighton for an actual ghost hunt I'll let you know how that one turns out lol!!

So, as it's Friday a new challenge has gone live over at Polkadoodles Crafting.  As always it's an 'anything goes' challenge but the DT have been given the theme of 'gift for a lady' to work to and as per usual my teamies have hit it out of the park their makes are just gorgeous.  There is so much inspiration to be had and we'd love you to pop over and join in so we can all see your beautiful makes too.

So let me show you my contribution for the new challenge.  I've made a little set of drawers just perfect for putting in little gifts or chocolates.  I used gorgeous Winnie 'Surprise Gift' and coloured her with copics.  All links and copics used are below.  The papers are Polkadoodles from the Octavia Moonfly collection and aren't they just fab.

Medium:  copics

Another little piccie next just so you get to have a peek from all angles.

And, of course, my usual close up of the image.  I'm rather pleased with how she turned out and I must say she was lovely and easy to colour.

Copics list

Hair:  W1, W3, W5, W7
Clothes:  RV00, RV21, RV23, RV35, RV29/B0000, B000, B00, B02, B04

Okay, that's all from me today, I've got to dash now so much to do.  No rest for the wicked lol!  Have a lovely weekend folks.

Take care,

Lovely 'Luna'

Hello my lovelies.  I am popping on to my little old blog to share another Polkadoodles make with you.  I made this card for no other reason than I wanted to so the sentiment I've used is rather apt I think.

So let me introduce you to 'Luna'.  Now isn't she just the cutest little thing and she reminds me of my daughter with all that hair.  I printed my papers on to Ultimate Graphic paper and used copics to colour her in to compliment these.  It's not a colour combo I would normally go with but actually I rather like it.  Everything was matted on to Kraft card stock and I followed the sketch over on Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

Medium:  copics
Flowers, pearls and twine from stash

My usual close up of the image.  She was real easy to colour up.  I laid a little too much colour down in some places but I think she turned out okay.  Thank god for the colourless blender is all I say lol!

copics used

Face/Body:  E000, E11, E13
Hair:  E50, E51, E53, E55, E57
Clothes:  B60, B63, B66, B69/G000, G00, G02, G05

Okay, so that's all from me today.  Everyone's gone off to bed so I'm going to have a little colouring session whilst watching Game of Thrones.  The final season starts next month so I've decided to recap and watch it all from the very beginning!

Take care and happy crafting.

Polkadoodles new challenge - Week 10

Happy Friday crafty friends.  I hope you've had a good week where you are.  Weather has been abysmal here so dull and wet and soggy, yuk!! We've had a busy week this week and the days just whoosh by it's frightening but the upside (there's always an upside) it just means that Polkadoodles challenge day is here before you know it and you're on the cusp of the weekend so all good in my book.

So, as it's Friday a new challenge has gone live over at Polkadoodles Crafting.  As always it's an 'anything goes' challenge but the DT have the theme of 'flowers' to work to and as per usual my teamies makes are just gorgeous.  There is so much inspiration to be had and we'd love you to pop over and join in so we can all see your beautiful makes.

Right, so what did I make for my little contribution to the Polkadoodles love … a card with the beautiful image 'Eden Blossoms'.  She's been coloured with copics to compliment the pretty Eden Blossoms 'Paper Heaven 2' papers which I printed off on to ultimate graphic paper and matted on to kraft card stock.

Medium:  copics
flowers and pearls from stash

My usual close up of the image.  I added a few little liquid pearl dots to the centres of the flowers in her hair.  Do you know that when using liquid pearls once you've squeezed out your pearl dots if they're not all rounded like a pearl if you just tap underneath gently it rounds them off lovely.  I read this somewhere years ago and I always do it as it works a treat.  I think this card may just end up as my mum's Mother's day card she just love's these colours so perfect really.

Dress:  RV91, RV95, RV99
Flowers:  B0000, B000, B00, B02, B04

Okay, so that's all from me this morning.  I have a not so good day at work today, it's going to be a long hard day.

Take care and happy crafting.

Cupcake anyone??

Happy Sunday lovely crafty peeps.  I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.  Where's all the lovely spring weather gone?!?  I hope this horrible dreary weather doesn't hang around for long it's so depressing.

So, on a miserable day like today I'm brightening mine with a little crafting and popping on here to share with you my latest card.  I treated myself to a few paper pads a while ago and thought it was about time I used some.  No good them just sat on my shelf.  I know they're pretty and stroke'able and all but hey I need to make room for more lol!!

Here's my little card made with them.  I've used LOTV 'never too old for cupcake' and coloured her up with copics to compliment the pretty papers.  I had a go at making some of my own flowers too with foamiran and I'm actually quite pleased with my first attempt and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was too.  They're not perfect by a long shot but hey practice makes perfect and all that.

Image:  LOTV 'never too old for cupcake'
Medium:  copics
Papers:  Craft Sensations 'soft romance' 12 x 12 pad
Dies:  Joy Crafts butterfly border (6002/0251), Whimsy Stamps Butterfly frame die, Whimsy Stamps Peony Flower dies, Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 2
Ribbon, twine, gems from stash

A little close up of my coloured image, she's so sweet.

Face/Body:  E000, E11, E13
Hair:  E53, E55, E57
Clothes/cupcake case:  V000, V12, V15, V17/R000, RV52, RV55

Here's my attempt at the foamiran flowers.  I've a lot to learn but they're a start.

I used white foamiran and the Whimsy Stamps peony die set and coloured them with some old oil pastels I've had for years.

Okay so that's all from me today.  I've just got enough time to get some colouring in before I need to feed the troops.  Do you think if I'm quiet in my little craft room they may forget about tea …. no me neither but worth a try don't you think?!?

Thank you for stopping by my little patch and listening to all my ramblings.  I ramble on in real life too you know!!

Take care and have a lovely crafty weekend.
