Valentine

Good morning my lovelies how are we all.  I come to you from a rather dreary and wet Bournemouth today so apart from the school runs there is no way I'm going out today.  Anyway, I've popped in to share with you a little make for my Dies to Die for DT.

With Valentine's Day fast approaching I have made a little hanging heart using the sweetie pie Bildmalarna Little Winged Friends 'Valentine' and my colours I have taken from the divine Maya Design Vintage Summer Basics paper.  So lets see a couple of piccies:-

A little close up of the gorgeous image, I do love me some Bildmalarna so so cute.

Whimsy Stamps - January 2014 Rubber and Die Release - Day 4

Hello and welcome to Day 4 of Whimsy Stamps first rubber & die release of the year!

We are making some changes to our releases this year. We are now going to release our new rubber and dies every other month rather than every month. As a consequence, the bi-monthly releases will be BIGGER than our previous monthly releases, and so we are now going to hold a 5 day release event for each release!

We would also love you to join us in welcoming 3 new artists to the Whimsy Stamps family this month! Cathy Delanssay and Sandy Allnock are both amazing image artists who have their own unique style of art, and Simonne Clay (our DT Coordinator) is dipping her toe into the world of design and has come up with some wonderful new word art and dies for us this month. We hope you will love their designs as much as we do!

We are hiding FOUR prizes of 2 new release rubber stamps on the DT’s blogs throughout the 5-day release event. You have until the end of the release week to leave comments on ALL the DT’s blogs each day. We will draw the lucky winners over the weekend and announce them on the Whimsy blog on Monday (January 27th).

Today the Whimsy DT is having a blog hop to share with you some beautiful creations made with our fabulous new release which are available to buy from the Whimsy Stamps store now!

Let me show you what I made for today's hop.  I got to work with sweet little 'Miss Mary Contrary' by Elisabeth Bell and I teamed her with a sentiment from the fabulous new 'Cup of Joy' sentiments.  I had visions of this little cutie pie pottering around in her garden so tried to make a card with a garden/flowers theme to it.

Sentiment:  Cup of Joy sentiments
Medium:  copics
Papers:  Prima 'Fairy Flora'

Okay that's it from me and time for you to take a peek at the rest of today's fabulous new release creations, please click on the links below..

I hope you enjoy the hop folks and don't forget to visit each one and leave a comment and pop in on the Whimsy blog tomorrow for Day 5 of our January 2014 release!

Take care,

D for Dazzle over on The ABC Challenge

Good morning all from a rather dreary and wet Bournemouth.

Well its the 15th so its time for a new challenge over on The ABC Challenge and we've moved on to the letter D so that's 'D' for Dazzle so that's lots of bling and/or sparkle so a real easy one folks.  We are sponsored this time by the fab Pink Gem Designs and I got to play with Ellie with Postbox and I used the pre-coloured version.

Okay so here's my card and it's another criss cross one, so loving these at the moment.  Well I used Christmas papers on this one although they're not overtly festive and I thought the image was quite versatile too as it doesn't have to be used for Christmas it would also work for Dec/Jan birthdays or just a thank you really.

Papers:  Papermania 'Home for Christmas'

Okay folks time for me to go do something productive around the house - yuk would much rather be crafting!

Enjoy your Wednesday, take care.

Mimosa and guitar - DTDF DT

Hello everyone I hope you all had a brilliant Christmas and New Year.  Ours was lovely and seemed quite busy this year with lots of visiting and people coming to ours, but I've come out the other side now and getting a little back to the norm.  Won't be fully back to normal until the kiddies go back which is next week but at least I've made it into my craft room, which I hadn't been in for over a week in fact probably more like two!  However, I have now overcome my withdrawal symptoms by creating one of my favourite types of card for my DTDF dt make - a criss cross card.  I've used lots of goodies from Dies to Die For and I've put all of the links below.

Items used

Medium:  Copics
Papers:  Prima 'Delight'

A little piccie showing you what it looks like with the pull out section and aren't the papers gorgeous, just love them!  The little postcard is also part of a sheet of paper in the pad which I just cut out and its so sweet!

A quick close up of the cute stamp and I so enjoyed colouring her up found her really easy.

List of copics

Face/Body:  E000, E00, E11, R20, R81
Clothes/Hat:  E11, E13, E15/BG11, BG72
Boots/Hair/Guitar:  E43, E47, E49

Okay peeps gotta dash now hubby is looking at me and tapping his foot rather impatiently.  I was only meant to be popping on the computer for 5 mins whilst he jumped in the bath.  He wants to watch the new Sherlock on telly so going to make a cuppa and have a sneaky biscuit with it!

Take care folks and Happy New Year!
