Crafty Sentiments New Release Week

Good morning my lovelies I hope you are all well.  We are busy here what with the last couple of weeks of school but it's all good as it means the kiddies get to rest soon for a few weeks.  It's been quite manic with my son's work experience, mock exams and this weekend his Duke of Edinburgh trip and my not so little girl anymore goes for her secondary school transfer day today so a rest for them will be most welcome.

Anyway enough about me.  It's release week at Crafty Sentiments Designs so that means I got to play with some adorable images and I am here to share with you my make for Day 2 of their release.  So no more waffling .... meet 'Fantastic Flowers' in all her glory.  As you can see I've gone with a bit of a blue theme today as I was rummaging through my stash and found some gorgeous papers and this was the outcome.

My usual close up next.  So sweet isn't she carrying those gorgeous looking flowers.  She was lovely to colour up, even the hair was easy and I struggle with hair at times.

Right that's my drop in for today.  I'll be back in a bit to add some links but I better go now otherwise I will be late for work which will mean no pennies and then no crafty stash!!!

Take care folks.

A box full of flowers!

Hello you lovely lot and a very happy Friday to you all.  Gosh hasn't the weather been amazing.  I mean it's been a little unbearable to work in but hey you can't have everything I suppose.

So I had an order for a pop-up box and the remit was gardening and wild flowers so this is what I came up with.

I hunted through my stash as I had no gardening stamps to speak of and found a sheet of Dufex decoupage I'd forgotten I had and used that for the toppers.  I used a mix of flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts but instead of using acetate to attach them to the box I used green craft wire to resemble the stems and also it mean't I could bend them into the correct position.

A little section added on the reverse for somewhere to write your greeting.  I toyed with the idea of making a little pocket with pull out tag ... may just do that next time.

Okay folks that all from me today.  I'm off to do a little crafting ... I'm sure I have time to sneak some in before I have to prepare tea!!

Take care and happy crafting.

Ice Cream Day

Good morning my lovelies and we've woken up to a gloriously beautiful morning here in Bournemouth.  Not sure how long it will last but I'm determined to make the most of it whilst it does so the washing line will be full of fresh linen dancing in the breeze shortly.
So as I'm waiting for that to finish it's a perfect time to introduce you to my last image of Crafty Sentiments Designs release week ... here is 'Ice cream day' and she's a beauty.

Now I've been wanting to have a go at making one of those pop-up box card makes for a little while and when I saw this image I knew it would be perfect surrounded by lots of yummy ice cream cones and in my eyes it will be New Forest ice cream mmmmmmm it's the best!

Image:  Crafty Sentiments Designs 'Ice cream day'
Medium:  Copics
Papers:  Make & Create 'Whimsical Pastels'
Card stock:  Crafters Companion Centura Pearl 'fresh pink', 'dark chocolate', 'hint of gold'
Dies:  Spellbinders 'Floral Ovals', Crafters Companion 'Happy Birthday'

A bit of a side view next.  I made myself an ice cream template in three sizes and used it to cut out some ice creams from Centura Pearl card stock.  The cone I used my score board to make a criss cross pattern and then inked with Tim Holtz walnut stain for some definition.  I did have to use some pink wire to mount them all though as acetate wasn't strong enough  they kept flopping over.

The close up next.  She really is a cutie and my daughter has already ear marked this one for one of her friends birthdays.

Copics

Face/Body:  E000, E11, E13, R20
Hair:  E70, E71, E77
Dress/Shoes:  RV00, RV21, RV23, RV25, RV29/E31, E35, E37
Shadow/depth:  BV04, BV29

Okay my lovelies that's all from me today.  Don't forget to hop over to Crafty Sentiments Inspiration blog for some more inspiration from my team mates and the images will be available in the Crafty Sentiments Designs store from 12th June.  I'm off to hang some washing on the line now and then back for a little colouring I think.

Take care and happy crafting.

Hello my lovelies and welcome to day 4 of Crafty Sentiments Designs release week.

So for today I got to play with 'off we go' and again such a versatile image and a handsome little fellow too.  I decided to make a little photo album come scrapbook and he is perfect for the front cover I think.  I chose an American theme as I had these gorgeous papers and elements in my stash for like ever and I will get to go there one day - it's on my 'to do' list so in readiness I made this:-

A little fairy love!

Hello and happy Thursday to everyone.  Work has been a bit on the busy side these past few days and I've not had the chance to share anything and I've been itching to.  Don't you just hate it when life gets in the way of your crafting.

Anyway, I have a little time before the troops expect feeding so I'm popping my latest card on my blog.  Now I've had this little stamp sat in my pile for a little while so I thought it was about time I inked her up.  I have a little bit of a soft spot for fairies and this cutie pie is no exception she is just too adorable and a dream to colour up.

Spring Bringer

Hello my lovelies and a very happy Thursday to you.  I hope you are all well.  We are still on Easter break here for the kiddies so all routine has left the building but normality will return on Monday when they go back.

I have a shaped card to share with you today and I decided to ink up the adorable 'Spring Bringer' by Wee Stamps and when I started this card it was a beautiful spring day but you wouldn't think so as I sit and type as it's turned a little on the cold side again.  Good old British weather you never quite know what you're going to get no matter what time of year it is really!

So anyways I'll stop rambling on and show you my make.  I used a set of Crafters Companion Create-a-Card 'Emma' dies for my shape and layers and used Kraft card as the bases.  I'd forgotten how much I love to work with Kraft so that's not going to get put away any time soon.

Image:  'Spring Bringer' by Wee Stamps
Sentiment:  Whimsy Stamps 'Mini Chalkboard' sentiments
Medium:  copics
Papers:  Memory Box 'Minuet'
Card stock:  Crafters Companion Kraft card and Neenah Classic Crest
Dies:  Crafters Companion Create-a-Card 'Emma', Spellbinders 'Floral Ovals', Marianne Design Creatables
Flowers:  Wild Orchid Crafts
Ribbon/Twine from stash

And last piccie I promise is a close-up of the image and she really is a cutie pie.

Copic list

W0, W1, W2, W3, W5
Flowers:  YG00, YG23, G28/R32, R35, R37, R59

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:-

Creative Inspirations  -  one for the girls

Simon Says Stamp  -  showers and/or flowers

Cute Card Thursday  -  birthdays

The Ribbon Girl  -  use any image challenge

Okay that's my fly by for today.  I'm off to stick kettle on for a coffee and hopefully sneak some colouring in before hubby walks in and I have to look all busy and housewifely.  In my defence I have worked my way through my washing and ironing pile, the hoover has made contact with the floor briefly today and you can't quite write your name in the dust yet so that can wait till tomorrow.

Take care and happy crafting.
