New Polkadoodles Challenge (Wk 8)

Happy Friday peeps.  Gosh hasn't the week gone by super fast.  The kiddies have been home for half term and it's just whizzed by.  It's been very busy but lovely.

Well as it's Friday a new challenge has gone live over at Polkadoodles Crafting.  As always it's an 'anything goes' challenge but the DT have the theme of 'Pancake Day' to follow and I must say my teamies makes are just adorable.  There is so much inspiration to be had and we'd love you to pop over and join in so we can all see your beautiful makes.

I don't know about you but I just luurrve pancakes big ones, small ones, thin ones, thick ones, I'm really not picky any pancake will do for me!!  So for my 'pancake day' themed creation I decided to make an apron shaped card.  I used the template in the 'Lemonade Fizz' download collection to make my card and it was just super easy.  The lovely spotty paper is also printed from the same kit and I thought it was perfect for the apron.  I coloured up the cutest little mouse ever 'Maisie Mouse Baking a Cake' with my copics for my main focus.

Medium:  copics

A closer look at super sweet Maisie.  I don't normally colour up animals as I'm never happy with my colouring skills with them, but I must say she was so easy I love how she turned out.

Copics used

Maisie:  E21, E23, E25, E27/E50, E51/R20
Apron:  YG00, YG03, YG06/RV52, RV55

That's all from me today folks.  I hope you have a lovely weekend, the weather is meant to be okay here with a little sunshine so I'm hoping to get some washing out on the line which will be lovely much better than having my conservatory looking like a blinking Chinese laundry!!

Take care.

Polkadoodles "Maddie twirling curls"

Good evening my lovely crafty friends and I hope you have all had a great start to the week.  It's half term here for the kiddies this week and my daughter was over on a sleepover last night so this morning whilst I was waiting for her to come home I managed to finish up this little cutie pie.

This is 'Maddie twirling curls' from Polkadoodles and she's just so sweet.  I coloured her up with copics to compliment the gorgeous papers I printed off.  I followed a sketch which I think was from Tuesday Morning Sketches a few weeks ago now, added a little ribbon, a metal flower I found in my stash and a few pearls and this little make was finished.  Don't you just love it when a card just 'works' and there's now fiddling around it just all falls into place!!

Okay, that's all from me today folks.  I should be getting an earlier night tonight as I have work tomorrow but then I really want to do a bit of colouring first and once I get started I don't like to stop until I've finished it. Mmmm, the dilemma … who am I kidding we all know full well that crafting is going to win out lol!!

Take care.

'Miss Charlotte' - New Polkadoodles Crafting challenge

Happy Friday folks and what a ploppy day it is here weather wise, windy, wet and soggy, yuk!!

But, hey, what better way to brighten up your day than to partake in a little craftiness and play along with the new challenge that is live today over on the Polkadoodles Crafting challenge blog.

So, let me show you my dt make for this week's challenge.  The team are all working to the theme 'add a heart' but as always it's an 'anything goes' theme to enter the challenge for all you lovely peeps and we'd love to have you join us so we can all come see your beautiful makes.

I've used a beautiful image 'Miss Charlotte' from the Rose Budd Collection and made an easel card.  You can get her from the Polkadoodles store as both a clear stamp or in the download collection (all the links to everything I've used are under the first piccie).  The fabby papers are also from the same collection and are so so pretty.  I've printed them on to Ultimate Graphic paper and they print out beautifully and look amazing.  I actually won't print onto anything else now that I've found this.

Everything has been edged with Tim Holtz walnut stain and the little topiary trees are in the download collection I just sized them as I wanted, printed them off and cut them out.

A close up of Miss Charlotte.  She's been coloured up with a mix of copics and promarkers and I did the dotty background effect with my pens too just to soften the look a little.

Okay, that's me done for today folks.  I have a busy couple of days coming up I have work tomorrow and then my sister's 30th birthday get together.  I'm so looking forward to it, although we don't mention the '30th' bit she's a little sensitive about that part heavens knows why considering I have 15 years on her and I can still drink and dance her under the table he he!!

Anyway, take care and have a great weekend.
