Bundle of Joy

Good morning crafty friends I hope you are all well.  Countdown to the kiddies summer break has begun in our household only a few weeks to go and they can't wait lol.

Well as it's Friday I'm popping in with my DT make for the new challenge over on the Polkadoodles challenge blog.  So this week the DT were challenged to create a celebration project and to include a 'shaker' element.  However, for all you lovely peeps as always its an 'anything goes' theme so nice and easy.

For my make I settled on a new baby theme and made a fairly clean and simple card.  I used 'New Baby' from the Winnie Celebrations 1 collection and coloured her with copics but you know if you don't have the time or maybe not confident enough with your markers yet she also comes in coloured versions too how fab is that.  I used a cloud die which I've had for like forever and used it to cut out the shaker part and thought as she's perched on a cloud she may as well be up in the clouds so added a few cloud die cuts as well.  Sorry for the ploppy photo just couldn't get one with decent light this was the best of the bunch I'm afraid.

It's a Maggie!!

Well hello lovely crafty friends.  This evening I want to share a card with you that I've made using a Magnolia Tilda stamp.  I haven't coloured up a Maggie in such a long time and I thought it was about time that I put that right lol.

Don't quote me on the name but I think this is 'Summer Rain' and it's one of my favourites.  I've used my usual copics in colours to compliment the pretty papers, added a little lace, ribbon and some lovely flowers and this card was finished.

Medium:  copics
Papers:  Craft Sensations 'Once upon a time'
Dies:  Polkadoodles 'Elegant Nest' set of 3 dies

My usual close up for you next.  I do love this colour combo.  For some reason I don't seem to have a list of the copics I've used but I'm pretty certain it's the BV's.  I'll try and find it amongst all the piles of paper on my desk … yep not the tidiest of crafters lol!

Okay so that is all from me tonight.  Before I go I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:-

It's a 'Twinkle Tulips' kind of day

Happy Tuesday crafty peeps.  Again it's a rotten week here weather wise and my conservatory looks like a flipping Chinese laundry as I can't get it out on the line grrrr!

As it's miserable I thought I would make a little something cheerful.  So I coloured up adorable Twinkle Tulips from Polkadoodles in lovely bright and cheery colours.  I struggled to get a decent photo as the light was so ploppy, but here's how it turned out.

Medium:  copics

A little bit of a closer view of the whole card.  It's very simple but I do love it!

A close up of the image.  Isn't she just the cutest thing!  I used my copics to colour her (list below) and I also coloured some white ribbon with the same blue copic as, as per usual, I didn't have the right blue ribbon in my stash.  Isn't that always the way lol!!

Copic list

Hair/Body:  E000, E11, E13, R20
Hair:  E31, E35, E37, E29
Clothes:  R81, R83, R85/B000, B00, B02/Y11, Y13, Y15/V01, V15, V17
& YG11, YG13 YG17

Right folks gotta dash - my daughter's WW1 history project 'life in the trenches' is due and we've not quite finished the model yet.  We're making a 'trench' and I've been painty and gluey and yep muddy too as we've been mixing up soil with pva and making clay sandbags too - you'd be so proud of me as I don't normally do 'messy' lol.  Wish me luck lol.

Take care and happy crafting.

Summer Vacation - Polkadoodles Challenge Wk 24

Hello crafty friends.  Geez what a week the weather has been horrendous.  Where's our summer it's been so chilly here it feels like winter!!

Well as it's Friday that means there's a new challenge up on the Polkadoodles Challenge blog.  This week the DT were challenged to create a Holiday themed project BUT it had to be an invitation and include an RSVP.  However, for all you other crafty peeps the theme is as always 'anything goes' so nice and easy to enter.

So, it took me a while to decide what to make for this one, not because I found it difficult but I just couldn't make my mind up what to make.  I was going to do a pool party, then a BBQ but eventually settled on a beach party and had the idea of little beach hut invites and this is how they turned out.  The paper from Polkadoodles 'Tropical Sorbet' was perfect for these and I used the pre-coloured 'Vacation' Winnie to finish them off.  I'm just a little bit in love with these I think they're so cute lol.

Okay, that's it from me today.  Why not hop over and share your beautiful makes with us I love to see what you've all been making.  There are fab prizes up for grabs and you've got to be in it to win it!!

I hope you all have a fab weekend, manage to grab some crafty time and I hope the sun shines for you all.

Take care folks.

Sorry, I couldn't help it, this song just popped into my head as soon as I saw the name of this stamp.

Anyway, how are you all lovely crafty people.  All good here in my neck of the woods.  It's been a dismal day though.  Where has the lovely summery weather gone?

So a little pop in from me as I wanted to quickly share with you a card I've just finished.  A relatively simple one on the whole no fancy flowers or anything it's really just all about the image and pretty pretty papers.  Winnie's Rose Garden, papers and dies can be found over in the Polkadoodles store (direct links under the piccie).

Wedding Fever - Polkadoodles Week 22

Good morning all you lovely crafty people, I hope you have been having a good week.  It's half term here for the kiddies so we're all over the place all routine has gone out the window lol!!

So, as it's Friday I'm popping in to share my DT make for the new Polkadoodles challenge.  The DT this week have been challenged with creating a wedding set to include three different items, so either a Save the Date, Invite and thank you or a place setting, favour box etc. you get the idea and they had to feature a cake image.  However, for all you lovely peeps wanting to play it's an 'anything goes' theme as always and you don't even have to use Polkadoodles goodies to enter.

A great challenge I think and I had such fun creating my little set.  So, what did I make? Well, from left to right - I made a cake box so guests can take home some yummy wedding cake, a place setting (this is my favourite part of the set it's so cute) and then a milk carton Favour box.

I used the absolutely beautiful papers from Winnie Celebrations 2 Papers 2 collection printed on to Ultimate Graphic paper, inked up the edges and then matted on to kraft card for both of my boxes.  For the little place setting wedding cake card I just used the fabulous 'cake' card template from the Work & Play 9 Love & Kisses download collection and re-sized it to suit.  Isn't it just the cutest little card.  All I did then was to add a few flowers from my stash and a few dots of liquid pearls to fancy it up a bit.  All of these items can be found in the store HERE.  I have popped the links below too.

'Cake' template from Work & Play 9 Love & Kisses collection

It was a nice change to create something that didn't involve colouring and actually it shows just how versatile Nikky tries to make Polkadoodles goodies.  I mean these images and papers are just perfect for creating all of your own wedding stationery.  Pop across to the challenge blog and you will see all of the other amazing wedding sets my teamies have made they're all extremely inspiring.

Okay, time for me to go.  I promised my daughter I'd paint her nails for her and she keeps giving me death stares as if to say 'haven't you finished yet mum, just get a move on will you!' lol.

Take care and happy crafting.
