Saturday Birthday Party - DTDF DT inspiration

Hello my lovelies and happy Wednesday to you all.  So it's time for my Dies to Die For dt inspiration and for my share this week I have made a card using the gorgeous Little Darlings Saturated Canary image 'Saturday Birthday Party'.  I chose the beautiful Bo Bunny 'Isabella' papers to work with which is where I got my colour scheme from and I think pink and grey may just be a new fave colour combination for me I really like it.  I decided to have a bit of a softer look to the image this time too so stamped it up using Memento 'London Fog' instead of the usual Tuxedo Black and coloured her up with my copic markers.

I didn't want to add too many embellishments as I always seem to cover up all the gorgeous paper so this time just opted for a little ribbon and a couple of flowers which were made using Cheery Lynn 'Gardenia Strip' and I love this die so much the flowers look so effective.

A bit of a close up of the image and isn't she a cutie pie!

Copics List

Skin/Body:  E000, E00, E11, R20, R30 + W3
Clothes/Shoes:  RV000, RV02, RV04 + W3 for extra shading/C1, C2, C3, C5, C7, 100
Hair:  C1, C2, C3, C5, C7, 100
Bag/Balloon:  RV91, RV93, RV95

Tote'lly Maja gift bag

Hello my lovelies it's halfway point through the week so that means it's my turn to share some crafty Dies to Die For DT inspiration with you all.  Well it's my mum's birthday in a few weeks so I decided to make a little Tote gift bag to fill with goodies for her.  I was blog hopping the other day and came across a link to the pattern for this Tote bag here.  Now I know gift bags are not anything new but this one is fab in that it's quite a generous size in my opinion so I won't have any problem fitting in a selection of Yankee Candles which my mum loves to burn.

I used the divine Maja Design papers 'Coffee in the Arbour - Rose garden' to make my bag and as this gorgeous paper is double sided I have the added bonus of having a fab lining to the inside of it too!  I wanted to add a focal point so used Nellie's Multi Frames hearts to die cut a couple of mats and then made a gorgeous flower with a Cheery Lynn Gardenia Strip die.  I so love the end result and just added a pearl in the centre to finish it off, a string of pearls and some ribbon as the handles and one real easy tote gift bag all ready to fill.

Okay that's all from me folks and thank you for stopping by my little blog it is always very much appreciated.

Take care.

A little bit of Whimsy 'Maya' love

Hello my lovelies how are you all?  Weather has been amazing here but I think we may be in for a little thunder this evening which I don't mind; if it stays fine during the day and rains at night I can live with that!

Well I've popped in today to share a little bit of Whimsy love around and I've made a card using the Wee stamps image 'Maya' from the latest May release and boy she is gorgeous.  I've coloured her up with a mixture of Promarkers/copics this time - I have a few gaps in my copic reds and I couldn't quite get the right shade.  I also used another one of the sentiments from Whimsy's 'Fluttering by' set together with the Whimsy 'Butterfly Frame' Shapeology die.

Papers:  Papermania Signature 'Regency'
Flowers: WOC and stash

A little close up for you.  I think she looks so cute with that cropped hair and of course I added the obligatory Glamour Dust to her wings!

Copics/Promarkers used

Skin:  E000, E00, E11 + W3
Hair:  E41, E43, E47, E49
Clothes/Shoes/Socks/Flower:  Pale Pink, Dusky Rose, Burgandy & YG91, YG95 + W5
Ground:  W00, W1, W3, W5, W7

Okay so before I go I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:-

My Mum's Craft Shop  -  ink it up

Crafty Ribbons Challenge  -  anything goes with ribbon

Sweet Stampin  -  say it with flowers

That's all from me today folks.

Take care.

New ABC Challenges - N for Nautical

Good morning everyone and wishing you all a very happy Sunday.  Well it's the 15th of the month so that means it's time for another new challenge over at ABC Challenges and I'm here to share my DT card with you.

This time our challenge is

N for Nautical
(so we would like to see all your nautical/ocean themed creations)

and our fabby sponsor this time is

I was a little flummoxed when I first saw the theme as I don't possess any nautical stamps and then Tracy at Dies to Die For came to the rescue when she sent me the most fabulous Pion Design papers in my DT box.  These are simply gorgeous and as soon as I saw them knew they would be perfect for my ABC Challenges DT card.  So let me show you my card.

A bit of a side view for you.  The sentiment was one I found in my stash I think it was a sheet of freebies from a magazine at some point and the embellishments were 'borrowed' from my little girl's stash of goodies she'd collected at the beach which I thought would be just the perfect touch to my card.  The little glass jar was from a pack of 5 I bought ages ago from The Range for the grand old price of £1 and a right bargain I think.

A closer look at the main image.  This was cut from one of the sheets of paper and I just added some glossy accents to make bubbles.

Challenges I would like to enter:

Bunny Zoes  -  layers

Papertake Weekly  -  for the boys

Cute Card Thursdays  -  so macho

Okay time for me to go for now.  Thank you for stopping by and I'll be back later on with a little something Whimsy.

Take care.

Vintagey Criss Cross - DTDF DT

Hello everyone I hope you are all well.  We've had gorgeous weather here in Bournemouth the last few days and I sure do hope it remains so.  I seem to have been away from my blog for a few days it just seems to be a tad on the busy side here lately - my other half claims 'that's just bad time management' but you know he always says this whilst being a safe distance away mmmm I wonder why!?!

Anyway, I'm here now to share with you some Dies to Dies For DT inspiration and for my make I've made a vintagey style criss cross card.  I used THE most gorgeous Pion Design papers from the 'My Precious Daughter' collection which Tracy has in stock over in the Dies to Die For store.  My goodness peeps these are stunning and after an inordinate amount of stroking I felt it was time to cut into them, so with brown paper bag at the ready for the ensuing hyperventilating this is what my card turned out like.

A piccie of card with the inside section.  I love the Cheery Lynn flourish die I think it goes perfectly with the vintagey theme and I also used it on the pull out panel I just turned it on it's side.

A closer look and side view.  All the papers and flourishes have been inked up with Tim Holtz 'Walnut Stain' Distress ink.

Okay folks that's all from me today.  I've got another nearly finished card sat on my desk so I will be back with that in the next day or two.

Thank you for dropping in and I hope you like my little bit of vintagey inspiration for you.

Take care.
