Time to Chill

Hello my lovelies I hope all is well in your neck of the woods.  We're halfway through half term week here my kiddiewinks are starting to get a little bored and the weather isn't helping with constant showers so they're not really able to do much outside, although we did manage to sneak out between showers yesterday to go to the park with the family which burnt off a little energy!

Anyway, I've popped in today to share some Dies to Die For crafty inspiration with you all and I've got a card to share with you all which is all pink and girly and pastel which is quite a change for me and I like it.  I took my colour inspiration from the gorgeously gorgeous Glitz Design 'Carpe Diem' papers such the prettiest colour combinations and inked up The Greeting Farm 'Dollie with Ice Cream' image.  I decided to cut her out and paper piece her dress but did highlight some of it with my copic markers.  The cute sentiment is from the stamp set too as is the ice cream I just coloured it in, cut it out and raised it up on some foam pads.  This is a fab stamp set too as you get some really cute little sentiments plus the ice cream image.

Medium:  copics

A little close up of the adorable image.  Look at those beautiful big eyes and she's a great size too.

Copics List

Face/Body:  E000, E00, E11 + W3
Hair:  E31, E35, E37
Clothes:  RV11, RV13, RV14/G12, G24

Okay that's it from me today.  It's quite early here and the kiddies are still in bed so I think a perfect time for me to grab a coffee and snatch a little blog land time to see what everyone's been up to.

Take care.

Serenade Moments

Hello my lovelies how are we all doing on this fab fine Wednesday.

I have a bit of Dies to Die for inspiration for you today.  I have made a little set of draws which look so darn cute and would make an ideal gift.  I made all the little matchboxes with the fabulous Cheery Lynn Matchbox set (small) which comes with two dies - one to make the inside box and one to make the outside cover of the box and I must say it so cuts down on the time it would take to make the little boxes myself and no measuring either it's all done for you just fold and stick brilliant!  I used a gorgeous Candibean stamp called 'Serenade Moments' and coloured it in with my Prismacolour pencils and then decorated it all with lush Glitz papers called 'Happy Travels' loving these.  All the edges have been inked with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a few flowers added to finish off.

Okay that's all from me today enjoy the rest of your Wednesday folks and happy crafting.

Take care.

Sending Big Huggles

Hello everyone I hope you've all had a fabby weekend.  My weekend got off to a great start with a MacMillan girls night in, so lots of girly giggles, wine and a take away and we all put in a donation too and raised a few pennies for a great cause.  We had a family bbq to go to today and the kiddies had their first dip of the summer in the pool.

Anyway, I'm just popping in quickly to share some Sunday Whimsy inspiration with you.  I've had another attempt at clean and simple and used a really cute Sandy Allnock image called Miyako and Kate and it comes with some really cute sentiments too.  I wanted to use my Prismacolor pencils again so stamped onto kraft card this time.

Medium:  Prismacolor pencils

A little close-up of the image.  Love how the cat turned out with the Prismas too.

Okay that's all from me today.  Before I go I want to let you know it's Whimsy Stamps May release week starting this Monday (19th) so don't forgot to hop over to the inspirations blog HERE to get a glimpse of all the new goodies being released and to join in the blog hops that we have everyday too.

Take care and happy crafting.

Whimsy May Facebook Challenge - "Sparkles"

Good morning my lovelies and wishing you all a very happy Saturday peeps.

We're having a quiet day today, my little girl was out first thing with friends and my boy has just gone to see Spiderman 2 with his mates and hubby's working so a perfect time for me to pop on here and share my take on Whimsy's May Facebook challenge for which the theme is sparkles.

Now I can be quite a little magpie if allowed so the glitter came out immediately and I proceeded to cover both my card and myself in the stuff.  I used Whimsy's 'Garden Flower Dies' and die cut myself three flowers out of acetate.  I glued up all the leaves first and added really fine green glitter and then did the same to the actual flower heads with different colour glitters and then it was just a case of waiting for it all to dry.  Once dried I added them to three tags and they do look really pretty and sparkly.  I stamped up a sentiment from the sentiment set 'Girl Talk' by Simonne Clay and used black glitter embossing powder but I don't think it's picked it up in the piccie unfortunately.

Glitters:  Doodlebug Design Sugar Coating
Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch

A close up of the gorgeous sparkly flowers.  Now I assure you tag number three is actually straight but my photography skills are pretty much non existent and for some reason it looks crooked, but it's not!

Challenges I would like to enter:-

Papertake Weekly  -  anything goes

Simon Says Stamp  -  Spring flowers

Right folks that's all from me today.  I might actually have a little time left to get a little crafty before everyone returns!

Enjoy your weekend.  Take care.

ABC Challenge time - K for Keep it Simple

Hello everyone its an early pop in from me today as its new challenge time over on ABC Challenges and I'm here to share with you my dt card.

Our challenge this time is

‘K is for Keep It Simple’
For this challenge we want to see Clean & Simple creations.

Our terrific sponsor this time is

and the winner gets to choose 3 digis of their choice.

So here's my card and I hope you like it.  I got to play with Dragonfly Peekaboo and its such a sweet image and a doddle to colour.  I wanted the wings to look all shimmery but didn't really want to go down the glitter route so I had a rummage around and found my old Sakura Gelly Roll pens.  I thought to myself these are never going to work as they are years old and had been stuffed away in a draw, but hey they worked perfectly so now my dragonflies have a gentle sheen to them which I love.

So that's my take on the clean and simple theme so why not have a go and come join us over at ABC we'd love to have you.

Take care.
